But i do wonder where would he play, in a 3 man midfield it seems he would replace Marchi, but that would leave the midfield with lack of creativity and goal scoring threat. We already got Vidal doing the tackling.We even have a winger who does lot of defending in Pepe. Why would we need another defensive mid. Even the rest of the midfield transfer targets that we are looking at for example Guarin and Radja are not really defensive midfielders. I dun't think there's any truth to this rumor.

the right winger must offer a bigger diffrence bewteen pirlo creativity and pepe's, then the diffrence between pepe's defensive skill and pirlo

It does make sense to replace Pirlo with a DM to accommodate a more attacking RM but that is a very risky gamble. Would the winger do more than what Pirlo has given this season? To abandon a working tactic , for something new and unproven would be a huge gamble from Conte's side.

He would complement pirlo well. Nobody would want to tackle Pirlo for the ball, cause then Nigel would be coming to get it from him...
Still I would prefer one of the bright french stars or Radja here. But perhaps his age would be more appropriate if we plan to do something in Europe in the next 3-4 years. Then there is the question of his wages and our wage structure.

He currently earn's about 55k a week, which is still within our wage structure if we are seriously looking at him.
