DDR is much more complete than Vidal. He can do whatever Vidal does, only better. I'd say the only thing Vidal has over DDR is perhaps stamina, but even that comes close to being equal.

In all honesty, I'd love a Vidal-DDR-Marchisio trio.

you don't have to replace a player with an exact same one.

when we sold Zidane, we replaced him with Nedved who plays a different game.

I'm sorry, but Vidal doesn't come close to DDR yet.

Lets not forget that we are comparing two different players. De Rossi is a deep lying midfielder, he has the same positioning as Pirlo. Vidal is a midfield work horse with good technique and excellent view of the play - but he just isn't deep playmaker material. It would waste Vidal's good attributes and vice versa.
Having them both in a midfield? FAPFAPFAPFAP
