Considering this is the wishlist thread, names such as Caceres, Montopussy, and Boshitty are so underwhelming.

Quality LB and understudy to Pirlo in January; Quality CB and starting quality RW in the summer, and a potential gift from Agnelli in the summer. It's really not that complicated.

its a stopgap solution, its not as if he'll be made club captain.

Hummels or whoever will have to wait till the summer, no club in their right mind would sell a starting CB.

but that still doesnt counter my point.

barzagli is our most consitent player this season, and he has held the defense together.

what if bochetti has actually matured into a good defender?

Why buy more backups when we are in dire need of quality? My concern is that the backup actually becomes the main acquisition; that our management become complacent if we finish in the top two, and fail to reinforce considerably.

Should we leave everything until the summer, we will need a starting quality CB, a starting quality LB, and a stellar RW signings. 3 major investments in the summer? Is that really going to happen?

Ansaldi, Hummels/Benatia/Vidic, Giovinco, Ramirez/Shaqiri/Gotze/Reus/Ozil, a pirlo understudy, and a potential surprise signing for the attack (Jovetic/Damiao/Benzema), and I'd tip my hat off to the one eyed one.
