I know it youtube...but define dribbling? cause if you want constant step overs then no..he's much more of a dribbler than krasic..and can use his speed in tight areas
Actually Krasic in form doesn't just run straight. He changes direction and pace.
Well considering the rest of our squad it would be nice if the right winger/forward can do a little more than running. Long shots with the left foot while cutting inside, some flair, changing pace ans directions... Because Pepe can run and he can defend too, not to mention his work rate. We'd be wise to get someone that builds on that or at least offers something different.

Walcott is meh, he has improved though I will give him that.
He has improved, its a fact. But I wouldn't say he is better than Krasic of last season.

Completely disagree with you. You wanna dribbling, you watch Figo, thats how you dribble. Walcott cant break defence with 9man behindthe ball. Dont see any major difference between Walcott and Krasic.
But krasic just runs straight...walcott actually goes in more than one direction.. And yes I know figo can dribble...but vucinic can't dribble as well as him ..so is that saying that vucinic can't dribble? there are many different styles of dribbling..
Vucinic is more of a straight runner. He changes direction, uses both feet and has good control. But he is not a true dribbler. Perhaps he is lacking in confidence as well or stamina, but he is rarely leaving his opponent with back-pains. Besides, why would even consider Vucinic as an example of what our right forward or winger should be?

Krasic and Walcott are both meh and neither is good at dribbling. Two dunder heads that just run fast in a straight line with very little end product.
Exactly.
Even if we can't get someone with top notch end product, we should get a player with flair and vision so he can make space for Lichtsteiner and take defenders on his own, me thinks.
PS: If I wasn't clear I am completely against the idea of buying Walcott. Krasic should get his chance now that Vucinic is injured and if he doesn't perform we should look for a team for him during the winter. Perhaps Shaqiri would be better, but I am not a 100 % convinced of it. We could give chances to our other wingers for the rest of the season as well.

are national feelings playing a part in this? :D

Shaqiri is talented but let us get Jo-Jo.
Jovetic has nothing to do with Shaqiri.

Shaqiri would be able to replace Pepe, whilst Jovetic would take Vucinic's spot (making Vucinic compete with Pepe for the spot on the right, probably). Shaqiri has lots of grinta, like Pepe, and is also very athletic. It'd be like having an updated and much, much more technicall/talented Pepe. Much more individualist too, unfortunatelly. If he could start playing more for the team and pick up more off the ball movements for the good of the team instead of rely always on his 1on1, then he could step out into a monster in our 4-3-3.

Never saw him linked to Juve, anyway. :D

Not such a problem for a 20 year old, even if he'll be forced to do this to fit the system.

I've already said that I think he's the ideal player to have on the right hand side of the attack (alternative to Pepe), he's fits into how everything is set up there. Lichtsteiner is willing to run forward, we need a player capable with both feet and someone that can cut inside and use his left foot and all that. They're already teammates for the national team as well.

True.

When I saw him in Basel and the U21 he did what you spotted in bold, but not when I saw him with the NT. I'm not criticizing him, because actually he just assumed the main character role that he was expected to. That's good. Now, he'd need some adaptations to our game (like most new players), but I think he could adapt well yes. I agree with you in the second part, he's probably one of the few I can easily say that would fit Pepe's role without losing any defensive consistency at all and even adding other offensive needs we'll need in a CL year (hopefully) that Pepe doesn't offer. Shaqiri is a diamond in rough.

I heard he's off to Atlético Madrid somedays ago, though. Anyone confirm? I hate that fucking club (not because of this, obviously).

Any news about Amauri/Iaquinta/Motta/Grosso/De Ceglie getting sold this winter?
Amauri will be sold. A few teams wants him.
De Ceglie: Palermo/ Fiorentina wants him.
Motta: Stutggart and Malaga are interested. I think he'll be sold.
Grosso: :boh:
Toni: Sampdoria/Fulham wants him.

I don't mind Toni being here till summer, but if an offer comes then sell.

Marotta, please get Tevez!!!!

I think people are not thinking about this properly. We can't let Milan get another bargain, like Ibra and Cassano. This guy will go on a cheap. And we can't forget he's a world class striker.

People say he's a bad influence in the lockeroom, but I don't buy it. This problem with Mancini, we all know how stupid and stubborn Mancini is, it's hard to tell whose fault it is.

And I think he can fit the scheme, replacing Vucinic or Matri. Come on, this guy is one of the best, still young and on a cheap... can't miss this opportunity... unfortunately, Marotta has already said they aren't going for him. What a shame.
