I wonder how Walcott would do in Serie A since it isn't as much focused on speed as in the EPL.

I can't help but think that he'd be similar to Krasic, even though Walcott has been very good this season.

I've been watching him ever since he joined Arsenal and he can't dribble even if his life depended on it.He can run past defenders like krasic does but that's about it.

Adil Rami, Valencia: This guy is a beast, watched him several games and he never disappointed. 25 years, starting spot in France NT. Great with the head, good feet. Probably the "easiest" to get
from the 3.

Mamadou Sakho, PSG: Only 21 years old but already captain at PSG, and several starting spots at the France NT. Left footed, could be a problem if Chiellini will be played back as a CB. But he has already great quality, and could easily play 10 seasons. But as a youth product from PSG, and the money there, very difficult to get.

Mats Hummels, B.Dortmund: He have a great pass, especially his long shots are amazing good for a CB. Also not that slow, and only 22 years old. A high price tag, but I think he'll be worth every penny. Like him.

I would pick Hummels as first choice, Rami second.

The same thing here. But then I have read Conte's words about Krasic being indispensable to this squad, yet now we are looking to offload him? Or do we have the 'good vibe' from Arsenal regarding the deal? Because...

I don't think Arsenal would be down for a Krasic-Walcott swap. Maybe for a decent sum of money thrown in because Krasic would be like a fish out of water at Arsenal.

How's Walcott been playing?

He has been playing with end product, meaning rather well, not just all speed and no show anymore. Still lacks some technique and dribbling out of tight spots, but plays with some decisive end product more nowadays.

His passing ain't bad either. He's becoming a dangerous player for them, that's why I don't see them letting him go. Unless he request a transfer as is the norm at Arsenal.

Easy to see that most people don't see him as a dribbler and most (including me) see him somehow similar to Krasic - why take him then? Don't we need someone with more flair/better defensively (aka Pepe)?
On top of that wasn't Wenger preparing him and promised him a chance as a striker? He said he isn't ready yet, but will soon be...

The only reason I'd want Montolivo is to have a proper sub for Pirlo and if we can snap him up for a cheap price, I'd say why not.
