If he wanted a guaranteed starting spot he'd stay at Fiorentina, when stepping up you have to work for a space in the team as Vidal found out, if you're good enough you'll play.

Anyway, I hope we try to finally capitalize on one of those deals where players have problems with their current clubs and you can get them for a bargain. Milan are the champions at that. Zlatan, Robinho, Cassano and now maybe Tevez are all players they got for way less than they should have, only because it was impossible for the player to stay there.

Or they're actually friends outside of football? Both Italian, the list goes on. They're close when the NT is away.
One good thing for Montolivo if he joins us is that he will get the chance to play and train daily next to Marchisio and Pirlo for 6 months before the Euros next summer.

I prefer to have balance in the team. Not eggs in one basket.

Robinho has been hot and cold for Milan, as was Cassano. Tevez has not signed yet.

The true master deal was Ibra. However they paid 25 million and 20 million a year wages to the bloke(including taxes) we cannot afford that.

I really doubt that Viola are willing to do business with us.
Corvino does have a good relationship with Marotta if we're to believe what we read.

I also know(as reported by alot of the best sources in Italy) when the rumours about Prandelli were circling, Andrea met with the De Valle(spelling?) brothers to dismiss it.

Doesn't matter, he's definitely not remaining there. If Marotta (doing that usual thing of his) gets him to agree to a contract before we put in an offer, then he can threaten to either give them 4-5m now, or nothing in summer. Depends on the player.

I'm just talking about capitalizing on deals like that. You get a player for much less than he's worth. And to be honest, all of those guys I just mentioned have been excellent for Milan. Even Robinho has helped in with 17 goals.

I wouldn't mind having Montolivo here for that price at all. Usually, Montolivo would cost us around 20 million. Now, with everything going on with him and Viola right now, he would be a great piece of business for us. We panic when there is reports that Pirlo will miss a game. With Montolivo on the team we'd set.

Anyway, I think he's going to Milan. He'll be a sure starter, he'd get to play in the Champions League and Milan actually need him and wouldn't give up that easily.
