I agree totally. We have a very large squad (even for teams playing in Europe) and Conte tends to pick the same players week in week out.

Players like Elia, Krasic, and Estigarribia are clearly not trusted by Conte. Neither is Bonucci or De Ceglie.

If Conte has NO intention of using Elia or Krasic, then better to sell them both and get something the starting X1 lacks and splurge. In other words, if we lost Krasic and Elia and got someone like Vidic or a world class defender, I would be all for it because at the end of the day, in this championship, we are playing with pretty much the same starting 11 every week.

If our back 4 was world class, we have enough to make it to the top 3 this season. That was always the goal.

IF we wanted to do more than just re-enforce defense, then we would need an upgrade on either Pepe or Vucinic.
