Someone PM fred and tell him to get his ass over here for a quick player description.
No need, Fred already described him
No, not a quality CB. He's got all the physical attributes, strength and pace especially. But he's not a particularly intelligent defender and his positioning can be questionable at times. I can think of 4 or 5 CB's that are better than him in Ligue right now. He's good for Lille though, they play a high line, so his pace comes in very handy for them. He also had an unusually good season last year.

Don't know much about Chedjou, but its good to hear he's solid. I wish we got Hummels though, but still not bad. Now we need a quality LB.

And then Gotze. :D

I don't see many suitors for him.

Alex I think probably wants to get out of Chelsea now, it'd be up to him to prove he's worth tying down into a multi year contract.

For someone who'd improve our defence, is cheap and a realistic signing I think Alex is a no brainer.

personally i think the alex train passed last summer, i can't see Conte changing his mind on the situation, especially when there are plenty of other viable options out there.

Its a no brainer to get him on loan, to play over Bonnucci. I mean last January our bargain solution was Barzagli, and it worked out better then anyone could hoped for. Someone like Alex on a loan is pretty much little to no risk involved. Just upsides to taking the chance without even investing anything in him.

Would get him over Chedjou, who is fringe level player, 10 times out of 10.

Also if reports are to believed Badass, our scouting mission from Brazil rejected all the defenders who we were interested in over there. So that brings Alex back into fashion, especially since Astori got injured.

It seems the only one who got glowing reports was Damiao.
