We will need a forward as well for the next year. Vucinic isn't a good enough striker. He is more effective on the wings, but he is far from clinical. Damiano might be a nice alternative to Matri, with us keeping Immobile in Turin.
Although if Vucinic would be deployed mainly on the wings some of the current wingers must go. So far, the only one of value is Pepe -he would be a good sub and can be deployed to shore up a problematic wing. Krasic if he doesn't up his game is gone and Elia is the same. Elia might be given another season, but Krasic should show signs of improvement this season, preferably before Christmas. Giaccherini is good to be 5th or at best 4th winger. I wouldn't mind someone else but ...

If we could get Damiano on a decent deal (20 mils) and a normal salary (3-3.5mils) for the next 4-5 years, he would be free for us provided we get 5+ mils from Amauri and Iaquinta and we calculate the salaries. Given that Del Piero is gone we might see a top player finally coming here. Maybe the strangest thing will happen and Ozil will be on the market in the summer?

I'd rather we spent £30million on a good LB and CB pairing than on a SS/LM/RM or whatever else, we are fine up front.
I expect a quality CB, LB and SS throughout the winter and summer transfer windows.

If we have around 60M to spend throughout both windows we can manage. Not to mention the deadwood we can sell from our team.

I'd love any of these players:

LB: Cissokho/Tremoulinas
CB: Subotic/Hummels

Andre Ayew for the wings & back up striker if need be. I'd like to see us get an out & out striker like Matri in case injury or suspension rears its ugly head.

We respect your opinion but its not like it can be either or in this situation, its not very subjective.

Jovetic has talent falling out of his ass and fulfilling his potential, while Ilicic is still growing.
