The media think it's over, I don't know. I thought we had some kind of agreement with the player and just dealing for a 500k here or there with his club. Maybe they upped their demands or we just went for a better target.

You're getting Montoliveoil, deal with it. :p
I am perfectly fine with it ... knowing well, he ain't the only one we are getting ;)

Seriously, though, Montolivo at Milan may well be a diff player than the one at Fiorentina ... just because he's not a high profile player now, that doesn't mean he won't step up to the next level at Milan ... and it's not like he's gonna cost a fortune.
Worst case scenario, he would be a fine, depth player for Milan.

I have to admit, I'd be a bit jealous if you guys sign Montolivo for really cheap (or free) because he's a pretty good player and we could use another CM. Althought Monto has been having some pretty rough games lately.

I have black friends who'd do the job for me. :p

Aquaman would be ahead of him. I don't see both playing with your club so if he agrees to sit on the bench for ya then good for you.

    I forbid such...same with Hust
My avs work now, I had a Swiss cheese one this summer. Heads on Juve shirt though...:D

    Why not another one...Hugo Mallo.

btw, we hear Hummels, Subotic, Dede, Vidic, Rhodolfo but never Höwedes. He ain't bad, I like what I saw(not a lot of games) from him.

I only saw a game or 2 from Geromel and he was good but can't say how he's doing now.

Mallo and Geromel are top notch. This last one is a pretty underrated talent for the world of football imo. Could've been having a far better career.

    Buffon
    Lichtsteiner - Rhodolfo - Chiellini - Ansaldi
    Vidal - Pirlo - Marchisio
    Ramirez - Matri - Vucinic

That's such a young squad bar Buffon + Pirlo. The average for those 11 is = 26.6 years not badddd

For this season, our biggest weakness is left back. Chiellini should eventually move to central defense and partnered by Barzagli with Bonucci as the sub. Priority number for January would be a left back in my opinion. I would not skimp here. We are linked with Aogo but he looks to be a gamble from my point of view. Key candidate would be Kolarov 10-15m (Glichy is the first choice for Man City). Other names could include: Cissokho 10m or Maxwell 5-7m (who may no longer be first choice for Barcelona). Maxwell is not young at 30 but he won't be too expensive and you can definately say he would be reliable (not sure if he has an EU passport though). Santon is also worth considering (he plays left back but could also be a useful right back sub for Lichsteiner).

If we only sign a world class left back in the winter, I would be more than happy.

We currently have 5 wingers - Estigarribia, Elia, Krasic, Pepe, & Giachherini. None of which are currently offering much attacking threat to the opposition although Pepe & Giacch have good work rates. Clearly, at some point Conte will review whether Esti, Krasic and Elia deserve to remain at Juventus. Bear in mind that the market value for Krasic and Elia is still reasonable (10-15m for Krasic & 8-10m for Elia). It may be worth considering selling both to get a real Star winger that would cost 25-30m and get Giovinco back for next season. Although Conte is likely not to mess with these positions until next summer.

Striker wise, I don't expect anything to change in January - Vucinic, Matri, Del Piero and Quagliarella are good to stay for the rest of the season. There will possibly be big changes next summer after Del Piero departs. A big name will be signed here to take his place.

If we get into the CL I think we'll have an exciting transfer campaign this summer. A revival of the club, an injection of cash, and with the sad but imminent departure of Del Piero I think the club will cook something up for us.

I hope we seriously look at the following:

    Cissokho
    Ansaldi
Rholdofo & Dede (don't know much about them, don't follow Brazilian football)
    Montolivo (if free)
    Shaqiri
    Gotze
    Jovetic
    Ramirez

Signing Ansaldi, Rhodolfo/Dede, Montolivo, Ramirez and Gotze would be excellent IMO.

My prices are probably off but:

Ansaldi: 5M in January? Free in the summer?
    Rhodolfo/Dede: 4M each?
Montolivo: 3-5M in January? Free in the summer.
    Ramirez: 8.5M - 10M? (+ co-ownership of Freddy)
Gotze: 25-30M? (15-20M + Krasic would be nice)

That's a total of 54M. It would be 44M if we can get Ansaldi + Montolivo for free.

I think Juve can do it. (cash wise) its just up to Marotta.

    (4-3-3)
    Buffon
    Lichtsteiner - Rhodolfo - Chiellini - Ansaldi
    Vidal - Pirlo - Marchisio
    Gotze - Matri - Ramirez

    OR

    (4-2-3-1)
    Buffon
    Lichtsteiner - Rhodolfo - Chiellini - Ansaldi
    Marchisio - Pirlo
    Gotze - Vidal - Ramirez
    Matri

Subs: Bonucci, De Ceglie, Pepe, Montolivo, Pazienza, Quagliarella, Storari

If Gotze and Ramirez could play in those positions I'd say that's a pretty nasty team!

Meh! Better, but still not good enough to juggle 2-3 competitions.
