Ok, If we have something like 40 mil € year to spend next year we could really improve our squad. What I would do with that amount of cash:

SELL:
Krasic -- 12 mil €
Elia -- 5 mil €
Motta -- Free
Melo -- 13 mil € (I think this is the "option" for Galasaray)

LOAN: Marone, Sorensen

RESCIND CONTRACT / NOT TAKE THE OPTION: Iaquinta, Estigaribbia

So our squad:
GK: Buffon, Storrari, Primavera 1st GK
Defence: Lichsteiner, Bonucci, Barzagli, Chiellini, De Ceglie
Midfield: Pepe, Giaccherini, Vidal, Marchisio, Pirlo, Pazienza
Attack: Matri, Vucinic, Quagliarella

Quite a small squad. My priorities would then be:
1. RW
2. CB
3. LB
4. LW
5. ST

NB: 5th striker would be primavera

Could it be done 5 players for 70 mil €. Where every single one must be at least solid and a few great/WC?

I think we do have one of the midfields that would make it in the top 5 of serie a.

Vidal - Would start in United, Barca (super sub), City, Chelsea, Bayern,Arsenal,Liverpool,
MAYBE not in Real
Pirlo - Every team would have him at least as a sub.
Marchisio - top 5 midfielder in Europe this year.
Pazienza - Fundamental for Napoli last year. (But he is not the reason why I think so highly of our midfield)

Barca, United, Chelsea, Real, etc weren't interested in Vidal. Otherwise they would've gotten him. The reason he didn't go to Bayern is because he couldn't go to a rival team in the same league.

Pirlo would be a bench player at all those teams and he's our most important one, that says it all pretty much.

Marchisio is nowhere near top 5 anything That shit's nuts

Pazienza is solid at best. Not even worth mentioning.

Vidal went under the radar, but I assure you he would start in all the teams I mentioned. And Marchisio is not top 5 only considering individual quality but is if you include form.

LOL, Melo and Diego were so overrated. Also Camo was out of form by then and Marchisio was still learning. I don't know what we were thinking. But now we have 3 great players at the top of their game. Big difference.

Exactly, that team finished 7th. I'd rather wait to see what the current midfield can achieve before comparing it to teams that are competing every year for the Champions League and their league title.

At any case the center of our midfield should be the last of our concerns,
it is extremely competitive for Italy, more than enough for everything we hope on Europe and if we compete in more competitions and need extra depth, Melo is more than enough to fit any need.

Compare the quality of our CMs with the quality of the rest of our squad and you will see why the CM should be the last of our concerns...

Yep, and he'd have a real shot at Madrid with Mourinho there. Marchisio too IMO.

Besides, 2 years ago, Motta, Cambiasso and Shneider were the best Central midfield.
Don't know why i'm expected to suck Chelsea, United, Madrid d*ks.(Regarding CM's).
