I know it's a ridiculous investment on our part, but it's inevitable. We lost a lot of quality, what with Calciopoli, and the old guard leaving/retiring.

We can't take risks or gambles anymore. We can purchase 1-2 talents from Serbia/Croatia or Brazil/Argentina and hope they shine, but the main focus has to be on proven quality players or players with massive potential who are almost guaranteed to succeed.

Go for Cissokho or someone like that if not him, even though I'm aware he's not world class. :D I'd have probably chosen two attacking players if we didn't have such rubbish at left back.
I totally get it but the reason i chose Ribery is because he's such quality. He'd offer way more offensively than if we got someone defensively decent imo.

 You are a humble and reasonable man indeed :D

We need to shore up the defence first tho before dreaming of major summer signings. A CB and LB in the January market, and two world class signings in the summer, and we are competitive in both Serie A and the CL once we get there. Enough compromising on quality to purchase in bulk. Quality over quantity time!

We would need a decent bench in order to be competitive in the CL, we certainly don't have enough depth.

realistic and within our budget though.

ansaldi is a pretty decent full back and more importantly versatile both as a rb and a lb, as for rhodolfo he is no where near as bad as bonucci, cerci has looked very impressive since last season. There is nothing to suggest that hazard would succeed at inter (if he were to join them) as an individual he may be better than our targets, but then again people here were pissed when we let inter sign quaresma and even mancini, they turned out well...

Ansaldi i like, he would definetely solve our LB problems.
Rhodolfo, can't say i've seen much but from the stuff i read about him and the little i saw, we could do better.
Cerci :sergio: he's mediocre why it is so difficult to grasp, and please don't compare Mancini/Quaresma to Hazard. The guy led his team to a league title at 21. He'll succed where ever he goes.

i Think Ansaldi will impress; Rhodolfo is hit and miss, but I still expect him to be better than Bonucci. We should get Dede if possible. Cerci is bench quality; definitely not a starter.
dede is linked with us, but nothing concrete yet.

as for cerci, he would easily start ahead of any of our current crop of wingers, he is alot better than you actually give him credit for, the talk about him in Italy is by no means hype.
