Marotta is an idiot. Its proven beyond any doubt. We are 4 days away from the end of the mercato and we have to fill 2 starting positions. 18% of this team would play its first game when the season starts, having only trained together. (Ohhh wait we have Notts County from regional league 34987 in england to make the team work) Any single WC coach will tell you one thing about transfers - I want them sooner. Either Conte has no clue how to make a team or he is getting bullied by the idiot, but either way we will loose points because of the date our transfers are completed. And it might be a single point (although I think it would be more like 5-7 points), but that might be the point that makes the difference between CL or not. Who cares - its much more important to run like a headless chicken around the world, with the market about to close trying to pressure the other teams into lowering their prices...?! I think nobody will be swayed by the fact we are trying to get a started at the end of the mercato and lower their price. First because they know they are dealing with an idiot (marotta) and second because its very hard to get a replacement. So the only players we can hope for are benchwarmers with no perspective in their current clubs. And we are hailing such players these days.
