Honestly guys, Bonucci is just not good enough - he had 1 decent season at Bari ffs. I would be hugely tempted to sell him and get 2 CBs - i.e both Lugano AND Alex. Lugano we could get for close to free and Alex is worth 8m. After selling Bonucci, the net outlay is minimal. Bonucci's market value is also reasonably high - at least 7-8m according to Zenit's offer.

I have a feeling Lugano and Alex are better than Bonucci. So you end up with 2 for the price of one. No brainer if you ask me.

Pepe is also wanted by Zenit for 10m? We should consider getting Affelay and another winger at the same time.

Pepe is the Krasic sub. The Krasic sub should be better because it seems Krasic is not that consisent....he has amazing games and others where the end product goes missing. Ideally it would be good to have a world class winger who can play on both sides.

But whatever happens.....keep Pasquato for now!

We can compete for the scudetto if we get Alex and a quality LW. Milan are good but I don't rate this new Inter, Napoli got lucky let's see if they will again. Our issue was beating the small teams, not the big. We had the mentality of a small team. We need to change that

Our squad size is WAY too high. I think we have close to 30 players. Given that we are only competing in Serie A...we should have no more than 24-25 players. Given that we are likely to acquire an extra 2-3 players before the end of the transfer season, we still need to dispose of at least 7-8 players! Amauri, Iaquinta, 1 of Storari or Manninger, Martinez, Ekdal (already gone), Almiron are obviously top of the list here....not to mention others like Grygera and Grosso who are still there.

Bonucci and Pepe to Zenit for €18-20m

CBs: Chiellini, Alex (€8m), Lugano (€3m), Barzagli (Sorensen can go on loan)
Wings: Krasic, Afellay (€8m), Arshavin (€5m), Pasquato, Giaccherini (€1-3m + Martinez)

Afellay can also cover for Pirlo if he is injured.

Total spending = €26m - €19m = €7m for all them. They would also be a lot less of a financial burden if Amauri and one or two other players can be shipped out to cover wages.

We would only 3-5 new players next season as well. A foward, right back backup, left back and maybe centre mid & left winger.

Last season, we were playing with Storari, Motta, Grosso, Sissoko, Aquilani, Pepe, Amauri and Iaquinta.

We fielded those players against teams like Milan, Inter, Lazio and Napoli.

Inter: 1st game we tied 0-0, second game we won 1-0
Milan: 1st game we won 2-1, second game we lost 1-0
Napoli: 1st game we lost 3-0, second game we tied 2-2
Lazio: 1st game we won 2-1, second game we won 1-0
Roma: 1st game we tied 1-1, second game we won 2-0
Udinese: 1st game we won 4-0, second game we lost 2-1

Those 6 teams last season were the finest in the league and we came out with 7 wins, 3 draws, 2 losses.

So don't tell me with a proper LW, a better CB and more firepower upfront that we can't take the league.

Juventus shouldn't worry about the big boys, as they seem they'll be okay they should start learning how to break down the little teams, which costed us all of our points last season.

If we clinched a win in our final matches against Fiorentina, Catania, Chievo and Parma we would have 12 points richer, which would have secured us a 4th spot in the Champion's League.

Buffon, Lichsteiner, Alex/Bon, Chiellini, PDC, Krasic, Vidal, Pirlo, Affelay/Pasquato, Quagliarella, Vucinic

Completely shits on:

Storari, Motta, Bonucci, Chiellini, Grosso, Krasic, Aquilani, Melo, Marchisio, Matri, Del Piero
