the problem when you are pursuing high profile targets like hazard, is that you need to do it quietly and swiftly. none of this bs negotiating the price. sure you may have to pay a hefty fee but get in and get it done before others can react.

you start to lose time when you are trying to sign players by negotiating the price, and coming in public and admitting you are after him

As if Lille wouldn't try to raise the money by offering him to several other clubs if we'd make a silent offer, they know they have gold on their hands with Eden, they aren't going to sell him without trying to bring other teams in a bidding war.

that is an element yes, but if you make an offer that is so good, why would the refuse it?

there are other elements to consider, such as paying a bonus to the player agent to push him towards juve. or the wages a player can get.

take augero for example. if ib june juve had just paid his 45m release clause without declaring interest in media, do you really think we could not have had him?

Maybe, but then the offer would have to be very high, and also, the bonus for the agent will have to be very high for him to shut his moth, not to mention the player will really have to want to go to Juve, f.e., Lukaku really wants to go to Chelsea, assume we'd make the correct offers, I have no doubts he will tell him agent to go and talk with Chelsea to see if they will equal our offer.

Aquilani to Milan most likely. Pretty huge discount too.
and Montolivo is starting to be linked with Juve ... it's hypothetical more than anything else right now but there is still a month of mercato left.

Milan seems to have withdrawn from the Montolivo deal and focused on Aquillani - according to rumours , that is - and that could be a very important sign for Milan's mercato in the near future, considering a particular player, who I had trouble seeing coming to Milan along with Monty given how similar they are. :)

Montolivo is very good in my opinion... but i cant see hom getting along with Pirlo in our squad, I cant see any of them accepting be benched.

But if Conte could work this out, we will have massive mid.

Exactly!
If we payed Atl Madrid 45M we would probably had him a day after.

If we bid an offer of lets say 40M for Hazard I guess Lille would accept it (altough not enitrely sure it really depends on how they value him and what is the current interest)
Do you really think that if we come to the player and agent and offer him a high wage with great bonuses+ a good sum for the agent for the move, he will say no I dont like high wages great terms and a better team I want to stay at Lille where I can pick flowers and smell them?!
He`ll accept it and come here.

The only way for it to fail is if it is being done slowly giving Lille time to raise other clubs interest and start a bidding war which we would fail to win for sure.

If all would be done quickly I see no reason for it to fail

There are deals which we should negotiate slowly and there are deals we should seal fast.
