Juve are threatening to create a solid base this season, that can be built upon in future seasons.

Getting a bunch of good players (Lichtsteiner, Pirlo, Vidal, Vucinic, maybe Lugano and maybe a LW) is more useful to Juve right now than blowing a shitload of cash on one or two great players.

Solid base -> get into the CL -> add real quality to the team.
