Did he say anything about our squad after window closes? No, he was talking about now, as listed, and yes that squad IS mediocre, pure and simple. Some decent/good signings doesnt change that.

That squad is mediocre. Do we have the third best squad in Serie A? if so no wonder Serie A is so mediocre

Still same core of players that ended 7 two seasons in a row, and with yet another inexperienced coach. Main goal for improvement would be clear big upgrades in signings to make it less mediocre, but hardly done that so far, despite some good signings (best improvement is Licht, due to who he is replacing).

Just look at last season. If the team had showed the right attitude throughout the campaign, then we would have finished in the top 4 without any problems.
