This Mata discussion :sergio:

People are still living in the pre-Calciopoli days, thinking that we are just as an attractive side as Arsenal.

We have finished 7th twice in a row and we can't even offer Euro League football and it gets even better when you believe, you know that we haven't enquired about Mata's availability. Please come the realization that his agent might have expressed that Mata don't want to join a non-CL team in Italy. Just because the media haven't picked it up, doesn't mean that it hasn't happened. Agents talk continously with clubs about their players without the media ever getting involved. It's called 'lobbyism'.

Not every single negotiation will be on Sky Italia or in Tuttosport even though they would like to make you believe that.
Bla-bla... Just one question: How is it that a team like Manchester City who has never won an European trophy started attracting the top players, without CL or whatever you were just saying? And yeah we have our ups and downs, but I still think our last title isn't as far back in time as Arsenal's. So Arsenal winning something means the billions of City, Cheski or the second best team last year Manchester United not winning anything. Is that possible?

Koss, sorry for beeing a partypooper but you just dont get it... like malthechp said, your living pre calciopoli
Not true mate. First for the last 5 seasons we have constantly a bigger budget than Arsenal. Some of those seasons are our worst in history. Its not hard to understand that the money are here - just look at the salary of Amauri and Iaquinta. They get as much as Cesc Fabregas. Amauri gets more than Nasri. Much more. Let's be honest here and admit that the pain comes not from the lack of funds, but rather the availability of those and their usage. Mata coming here is very, very easy. If Marotta wanted to do it, he would have done it. Mata is not Viera, Thuram or Nedved. Now when you want pre-calciopoli comparison -- it will be crying we ain't getting Neymar or Messi.
