I think we're changing, at least judging by the players linked to us. Many of our top targets are SA players.
But until this summer, with small exceptions, it was brutal how we ignored them. Last year we had only two SA players (Melo and Martinez). That's almost like we ignored the SA players on purpose.
But remember, the majority of SA players these guys are going to look for are DM's or fringe talents very few have heard of. Milan and Roma go after the likes of Ganso and Lamela, we set our sights to Danilo. This stupidity is in our blood.

Doesn't need to as it can be found everywhere on the net and the main source is stated in the article. Something called "News of the World"
No, that's not how it works, at least in the professional world. Everyone should post the link to an article found on the web. It only takes a few more clicks.

I hadn't realised juventuz transfer rumours had to live up to professional standards now.

Sources need to be provided when they aren't stated in th article.

Don't see the need for a link for the sort of thing Chester posted.

Bottom line is, too little too late. We should have been focusing on this continent the moment we got promoted from Serie B when we realized our "old guard" wasn't going to live forever. We should have had scouts there pushing transfers for the last 4 season.

It's nice that we are linked now with Kun. It's great we signed Appelt and it looks like we are pushing for Darilo. Honestly, it's about fucking time and we missed the boat on james rodriguez too.

And the other region we need to be watching is eastern europe, I know you and Dusan will agree on that. Hamsik for 400k comes to mind...Jovetic, etc. It isn't like there are any "Diamond in the Roughs" in Italy...but, alas...at least it appears we are learning from past mistakes and seeing clubs like Palermo, Napoli and Udinese finding the worlds next stars we are finally moving in the right direction.

I know they are selling clubs and historically we have been the buying club. There is more risk in buying Diego for 24.5m dollars and have him flop like he did than buying a no name Hamsik/Jovetic/Illicic/Sanchez for next to nothing. All it takes is a scout or two with a good eye.

I definitely agree. I mind it too, very much as a matter of fact.
But it's not like these guys are historians or journalists who need to source their claims and writings. Lets take it easier on them :D

Danilo is a proper talent, you don;t like him, throw him Milan's way :D

Problem is if Danilo comes, he will end up being Licht's back up, as he won't suit Conte's 4-4-2 (and variations), and will spend way too much time on the bench and likely go to waste ... which is why I've been bitching about this being a bit of a random transfer target by Juve.

Perhaps it was mentioned in the Coppa America thread, but the number of Juve players at the Coppa America is one big 0. That shows how well we worked on that market.

The other Italian teams:
Inter 6 (Cesar, Lucio, Maicon, Cambiasso, Zanetti, Milito)
Udinese 5 (Isla, Sanchez, Zapata, Cuadrado, Armero)
Milan 4 (Thiago Silva, Robinho, Pato, Yepes)
Napoli 4 (Gargano, Cavani, Zuniga, Lavezzi)
Lazio 2 (Muslera, Alvaro Gonzalez)
Palermo 2 (Hernandez, Pastore)
Atalanta 2 (Carmona, Barreto)
Roma 1 (Burdisso)
Bologna 1 (Perez)
Cesena 1 (Jimenez)
Fiorentina 1 (Vargas)
Catania 1 (Andujar)

I'm sure it's just a mare coincidence that the Italian teams with most players at the Coppa are the top 4 teams in serie A last season.
ItalJuve for the win :weee: :weee: :weee:
that's .... interesting ... and a bit unsettling too

This is true, but I think they are taking the good fortune of the Sorensen to heart. Which, IMO is fine with me too as long as they look at talents like you mentioned as well. It doesn't hurt to aim high with the likes of young studs like Sorensen but when you have players of instant caliber like those and Neymar, we should not be waiting. It's like they think "well, before we go there let's see what we can get in Italy first".

South Americans don't fit stilo Juve apparently
The fact that those who were supposed to bring joga bonito (Diego for example) couldn't do it, didn't help the South Americans.

We're fucking idiots.

It's not my duty to search for the actual source of the article. Anybody can insert some news agency into the body of the article and make it seem legitimate. Again, sorry, that's not how it works. If I see something without a link provided, most of the time I'm not going to read it, unless it's something said on a live television program.

Can you imagine if we had signed AT LEAST 2 great young talents since 2006? That is almost an entirely new team. Not only would it have been good for our starting 11 but financially as well. Theoretically, if we signed players like Hamsik between 400k-2m (for example) and our turn-around would have been 20-30m per player should we have sold them (that's if each player turned out as Hamsik did). We could have benefited in good players for the future while we still had our old guard for them to learn from. Not to mention, if we missed out on the CL we could sell some to cover any financial costs we would have needed to cover.

But how else can "gurus" prove themselves as more knowledgable about the club without pilfering random articles from the interwebs and posting them as their own discoveries?
