I feel as if we are going about this the wrong way chasing a 30+ star, and should be doing what roma are doing...sign the sanchez's pastore's while they are still below 15 mil...aka lamela. obviously there is a risk they wont come good but I cant see us getting one of these top guys for less the 40, which is rediculous

no striker.

35m? Hazard for the left wing and Verthongen would improve the team much more.

or we could've spended 10M less of that amount and went for Suarez when he was at Ajax... and already a worldclass act.
Ive been thinking about that one since all these rumours began..wich we snapped him up

What, so you don't want a top player here? You're going to have to pay a lot for a player of his quality so if we do, we may as well just be glad we were able to convince the player to come, never mind the fee.
I want a top player but overpaying by 10-15 millions is way to much.

I'd pay 30 M euros for Sanchez, not one euro more.

Anyways, like I said earlier on, I believe that Marotta won't buy a champion.

We will sign cheap players and use the budget to get us out of the red.

Pozzo said he wants more than 35 Million for Sanchez.
of course he would say that, now is the "fishing' season and Pozzo is looking for someone to hurry into taking the bate (i.e. City). At this point, none of the other teams seriously interested in Sanchez seem to be willing to offer anything near 30-35 mil cash and rightfully so.

My money is on City taking the bait and getting Sanchez for 35-40 mil within 10 days :D

Last season when we signed all those players Marotta says he was just laying the foundations of the team.

So out of the "foundations" we have

Marco Motta (likely to be sold)

Fabio Quagliarella (may not be not redeemed)

Leonardo Bonucci (rumours that his starting spot is in jeopardy)

Simone Pepe (redeemed but may not be wanted by current coach)

Jorge Andrés Martínez (likley to be sold)

Leandro Rinaudo (sent back to Napoli)

Miloš Krasić (starter next season)

Marco Storari (maybe inserted in to transfer deal)

Frederik Sørensen (rumours of being loaned out)

Armand Traoré (sent back to Arsenal)

Last seasons Mercato was a complete failure. :sergio:
