Agreed on overpaying being a necessity. Marotta (and the previous regime) dug themselves a large pit with their incompetence, inability, inadequacy, whatever, and they only have themselves to blame. As such, they most overcompensate now, and pay through the nose to land us a marquee signing that will signal to rival clubs, and more importantly, other perspective players, that we are not a dead end team. We must show ambition, for now, with euros.

Enough with "building a competitive team" through midtable castoffs and over-the-hill players looking for one last payday. Enough with building a Bosman defence and crying when we concede like a sieve. Enough with "Serie A" experience when the league is in its worst shape in probably sixty years. Enough with passports reading "Repubblica Italiana" when Italy's suffering its worst drought of talent since time immemorial. Enough with Guardiola envy and its associated risks. Enough with stadium rods and battle cries of "Milos." Enough with butterfly tattoos and cricket investments.

Nani said he's pleased with the interest of the big clubs (Inter, Juve and Real), but he wanna stay in one of the biggest clubs of the world, United, and he's ok there. He also said that he'd think twice if Mourinho called him.
