Why would we play him in an advanced role when he plays best when he's deeper.
again it depends entirely on the system Conte intends to use, but he can slot into the centre of an attacking 3 supporting the lone striker, it has been tried and tested before and looked comfortable, i wouldn't be too surprised if we play a 4-2-3-1 as a hybrid of this 4-2-4 that he seems to use alot

Napoli 'in talks' with Vidal
Napoli “are in negotiations” with Bayer Leverkusen, confirmed the agent of Chile international Arturo Vidal.

The 24-year-old midfielder, full name Arturo Erasmo Vidal Pardo, is the second major reinforcement planned for the Partenopei after a bid for Udinese’s Gokhan Inler.

“Of course Vidal could come to Napoli. I can confirm they are in negotiations and a meeting has taken place,” revealed agent Fernando Felicevich in the Corriere dello Sport.

“I’m afraid I cannot add anything more right now.”

The price-tag is thought to be around €12m and Bayer Leverkusen do not want to go lower than that.

Vidal is a versatile figure and can play in several different midfield roles, while he is effective in defence and attack.

He also has an eye for goal thanks to a powerful right-foot shot and brings international experience to a side that will be in the Champions League next season.

Fuck.... Imagine if Napoli end up with both Vidal, for only 12M AND Inler - while we end up with Pazienza! - Someone do something!!!!

IMO, Vidal for 12M would be the best god damn midfielder we could buy for an amount that even should be much larger!!

But Vidal is better than Inler by a mile. Why is their 'alternative' better than our 'choice' ? Vidal is in the top 5 mids in the bundesliga, Inler isn't even top 10 in italy.
Inler isn't even in the top 10 of Italy? Give me your top 10 then.

Inler has shown consistency in the past three years I've followed him for Udinese, losing out on Melo if we will make a loss on him is sad in general but I would be glad to have Inler as his replacement.

Lass would be cool too but I dont think he'll come to us.
