I think we will be getting some sort of attacking star. I think Pastore is doable.

As for DC being good enough... no, thanks. Although Ziegler's not much better.

There was some news last term about interest from midtable teams in the EPL, I don`t see us getting more than 6 millions for him
Mark, Iaquinta?

If De Ceglie gets back to the form he was on before his injury, he's good enough.
Sure I'd love a LB like Coentrao or Cissikho but realistically we'll probably get Ziegler and maybe with Ziegler and DC competing for a starting spot we can get some good performances out of them.

We're not going to get a world class player in every position in one summer. If we get a starter RB, a DM better than Sissoko, Ziegler, sort out our strikers, and get rid of most of the deadwood, I'll be very happy.
I would rather keeping Melo, Sissoko, with Marchisio and Pirlo for the CM position, and get two world class back with a world class attacker. Our backline was is the weakest link. We can`t keep starting incompetent player for those 2 positions.

We're not asking for a WC player in every position. How many do you think we're getting? They say 3. Let's just say Pirlo's one, the other is the crack signing (Pastore, whoever), which position will be the 3rd?

DM better than Sissoko? Pazienza's supposed to be Sissoko's replacement, I assume. Another DM will only be bought if we sell Melo; nothing to do with Sissoko.

The main problem with Aguero though is the transfer fee, according to the latest reports, we offered 30 millions and we won`t go beyond that. I don`t think 30 millions would be good enough. A. Madrid would easily get 35-40 for him from the likes of Chelsea and Man City

I think this is likely:
Pirlo (free)
Pazienza (free)
Ziegler (free)
RB
Striker(s) depending on what formation we'll play and how many of the current ones stay/go.

Because I'm refusing to believe Pirlo will play in a midfield two, we'll need another midfielder in addition to Pirlo, Marchisio, Melo(?) & Pazienza.

We'll also need some kind of left sided player, depending again on the formation.

Old news? :nervous:

Does anyone know how much Aguero is currently making at Atletico?
No no, its not old news to me

I was just laughing at the offer itself. We can't offer him chump change especially if Man City and Madrid are bidders

I don't really like us spending 30m on him. But hey, we need world class players, right?
We need to spend though on such quality players. We spend around 120 for Nedved, Gigi, and Thuram.
To get world class players, you have to pay big bucks. Such players are capable of lifting a team to another level, ofcourse the proper coach is needed too

Well, Conte said that Pirlo will be played with another CM. We'll see. But if a 3-man mid is the case, then that means a 1 striker system (4-3-3 or 4-5-1), i.e. no new striker signings since we'd have at least Matri, Toni, Delpie; if not Quag and/or Iaq as well.

i would have thought melo exemplifies the character Conte wants in his players, whilst i certainly think he is more diverse than sissoko, another quality he stated, when i say diverse, at least melo can drive forward better than sissoko does, whilst his passing is far better too.
