Firing Delneri (Marotta didn't want to do it, pressure from fans & Andrea Agnelli to please the fans). The fans won't disrespect Conte like they did with Delneri calling for vattene vattene. What Conte says will be heard.

Bottom line: They didn't want to fire Delneri but had to because of pressure from the fans, with Conte they bought time. The fans won't talk shit for at least two years.

Andrea Agnelli also said that he hopes to make Conte "our Ferguson". What does that mean? Look at Fergie's first years in Manutd.

I'll be very surprised if that was to happen. I don't buy all the "fans won't disrespect Conte like they did with Delneri". If results won't come, they will, which is why I'm strongly against appointed ex-Juventus players as coaches, especially for legends such as Ferrara and Conte.

I don't think so, but we had no problems sacking him when he had failed as a coach.

I agree, but I can't see us splashing out the cash for it. I can see Marotta's excuse already: "We didn't want to take the risk of bringing a central defender in the middle of the season".
