What about the istallments from previous years?
who knows? that was my point, partially, when I said that hardly anyone here knows Juve's actual budget for this summer and yet they criticize Marotta for not paying 45 mil for Aguero.

I really don't understand how some people still think that paying in installments, means using less of the budget.
well, it does - it means paying less from the budget of a particular year, not altogether.
It allows teams to buy several players in a season as opposed to just 1 or 2 - basically, you don;t have to put all your eggs in one basket but spread them around in several baskets ... that way, if one basket falls down, you still have some eggs left to make your breakfast.

If we will think like that, then the installments from previous years need to be included into this years budget. While intallments for Vidal and other players bought now, will be included in next years. So basicly it doesn't change much.

not all transfers are done in installments - Vidal's and Rossi's potential ones are/would likely paid up front.
This sort of business is popular among Italian clubs, and in other leagues too, and is helpful to a team with a limited budget to still operate on the market.

Of course you have to pay the installments due in a given year but, again, it allows a team to buy several players in a season and minimize that particular transfers' burden on the budget for that particular year. (this is also a sort of insurance against one player not fitting well in a team or getting a long-term-injury)

Milan for one, couldn't afford a one-time 24 mil fee for Ibra last season, but spreading it around over 3 years, made the deal possible. Of course, 8 mil would come out of the budget in every of the next 3 years but that allowed Milan to also afford Robinho last year too as there was no chance in hell they could pay 42 mil, all at once, for both even if that was a bargain price.

installment deals made it possible for Juve to buy several players last year when you clearly couldn't afford paying for them up front. Juve's problem is not that you guys made deals in installments but that you ended up buying players like Motta, Pepe, etc ... now imagine if those deals had been for Hernanes (as Lazio did), Asamoah and Cavani. Wouldn't you just love paying small amounts for those players even if it's for the next 3 years?

The transfer fee will be paid in three different installments: 5 million euros will be go to Bayer Leverkusen immediately, while 3 million euros will only be transferred on 30 July. The remaining 2.5 million euros will hit the German club's bank account on 31 December of 2012.

Juventus has announced the transfer fee could rise by 2 million euros, depending upon the player's performances over the next five years.

if this is official, then it's even better for Juve

I hear you. I understand why teams would make installments deals. The thing is that most of our transfers in last years were done like that (actually it goes back to Moggi transfer to, like Zlatan), and we are still paying them. When I think about our budget for this year I don't include previous installments, and I also don't think Marotta does. When we have 70m to spend, we use them all for this mercato and maybe january, installments or not. That's how I see it.

Also don't even make me think about Hernanes, Cavani or Asamoah instead Motta and his pals :(.

Sorry for OT. Does anybody know when Juventus-Parma will play, if it's a evening match or on saturday or sunday? Im looking for flytickets now :D
Don't think it's been announced what games are to be on TV yet.

It's possible that Juve's first game in their new stadium will be given star billing, but it's Milan-Lazio and Palermo-Inter that weekend too.

If it wasn't for the new stadium, I'd say you could quite safely assume Juve-Parma would be a Sunday afternoon game, with Milan and Inter being the televised night games.

Are there still Sunday lunchtime games this season?
