Tacchinardi isn't a top player, so I fail to see why what he has to say should have any bearing or significance. Him and Moggi probably think Rossi is a better option because he is Italian and had one solid season.

Yes and no.

Yes, what you say is absolutely correct.
No, sometimes the flaws and the qualities can be seen no matter how the team plays. Bonucci's reactions when one on one with an opponent had less to do with how we played and more to do with a flaw in his defensive game. By "one on one" I mean the situations when the ball was on the ground and an opponent was running with the ball towards Bonucci. Bonucci was either skinned or made a yellow card foul. And that happened in 10/10 such situations.
