wouldn't be so sure. the thing is Barca are not offering that but a smaller sum + promising youngsters like Jefren, Thiago, etc as their summer budget for all purchese - including Rossi/Sanchez + center back is limited to 45 mil (according to Spanish media).

What I mentioned above may well be a first offer for Fabregas, it's not meant it can't be improved if deemed necessary; this is the power of negotiation - you don't go in all guns blazing from day one ;)

This being said, Barca would always have Fabregas's preference if they really decide to make a financial sacrifice for him this summer ... Milan comes in second in that regard.
Thiago in the deal would be freaking hilarious.

But Barca won't accept that. Neither Bojan, I guess.

could be, but I am yet to hear a sound argument in defense of that statement :)
again, I am not saying that Milan will definitely beat out Barca in that race but to claim Milan cannot afford Fabregas or he would rather stay at Arsenal than join Milan is not a well-backed statement, to say the least. :)
Rumours are they aren't even prepared (or able) to pay 15MEuro for Witsel, why would they be able to pay 50MEuro for Fabregas?

srsly speaking though there are a ton of great talents out there that could lift our game besides from pastore, rossi, sanchez, aguero, neymar, tevez

they are wonderful players, some have played and excelled for big teams and others have the potential to become world beaters

but there are so many other great talents out there who are available for half the price!!!

lamela,mata,lucas,shaqiri,mvilla,vidal,martin,ashley young,iker munain,andre ayew,canales,dzagoev,ganso,giuliano,lewis holtby,jovetic,toni kroos,lukaku,dejan lovren,pjanic,raul albiol,arda turan,santi cazorla,ever banega,jefferson farfan,lucas barrios,honda,joao moutinho,renato augusto,hernanes,nzogbia,miguel veloso,maxime gonalons,dos santos,defour,nicolas gaitan,moussa sissoko,necid

stop obsessing over the names we only hear in the papers!!

this game is amazing cuz of the abundance of talented individuals that make it..its not the end of the world if we dont sign one of neymar, aguero, tevez, sanchez etcc...

just as long as we dont sign the likes of guarente, caraciollo, diamanti, gilardino, pellisier, mantovani n co

that one - there is a difference between not being able to afford a 15 mil investment and not considering Witsel to be worth that investment.

I am sure Juve can afford to pay 30 mil for Aguero - and would probably jump at that chance - but I doubt they will spend that same amount on bringing back say Molinaro :D

True, but then again, I am talking about 15MEuro compared with 50MEuro, also a big difference.
it is a question of value first and then of price - it is a big diff indeed, between 15 and 50 mil, but that shouldn't entail that Milan have to pay 15 mil for a player they don't think is worth that amount. Just because Witsel is much cheaper than Fabregas why should Milan spend 15 mil on the former, if they don't deem him worth more than say 8-10?
Milan is indeed interested in Witsel but that is not a reason why they should pay whatever Standart asks for him.

Because Witsel can be seen as an investement, I am sure within 2-3 years, he will be worth the double of the 15MEuro Standard asks for him now.
But I do get your point.

So the agents of Bastos and Vucinic reckon we're about to sign these two? Thankfully an agent's word means shit all, but if they're telling the truth and these are the champions we've been promised then we can kiss our Scudetto/CL qualification dreams good bye.

Why spend a reported 15 million on Bastos and possibly the same amount on Vucinic when we could try to reclaim Giovinco and an extra 10-15 (which most of could be raised from the sales of of a combination of either Momo, Amauri or Iaquinta) could see us meet Aguero's asking price?
