while i think getting an attacker or two is important, what i have forgotten is that if del piero truly leaves.....well we are left without a del piero heir (anyone saying giovinco should be perma banned, therefore hustini should be 1st on list)

so i say priority number one is del piero heir. a player who can score and assist. a player who can lead the attack. brains, speed, skill, desire, and heart.

Should have signed Aguero.

:D
in hindsight, despite the fact i was opposed to offering him the kind of money he earns, he si worth it in a way. i mean you really have to overspend to get proven quality.

not too late to get neymar. if the rich clubs really wanted him they would have signed him last summer.

Word. They've built a pretty decent team lately though. I don't know if it would be that easy to get Modric.

We really need a good striker though, I'm getting sick of all those missed chances.

Suarez or Jojo are the ideal DP heirs; they have a long way to go to match the great man's career (and they probably won't), but they are the players that are closest to resembling DP, and are within range. Oh, and Rossi is nowhere near that level, so don't throw his name in there :D

Jojo and Suarez are explosive, dynamic, unpredictable, and can score (not that much), as well as assist.

No Neymar doesn't have half the heart that DP does. Nor can he lead this club

Hopefully the management will go for Jojo in the summer, and a striker to bang in the goals. But I would also like them to go for a really good CM that could challenge Marchisio's spot, because let's face it, he's not very consistent. This move would add quality depth to our team that will be playing three competitions next season. Oh and a left back.;)

Mah suarez is nowhere near . Jovetic could go near him , but never be like him

Football has changed. I meant in terms of style and playing ability. Suarez is very dynamic and explosive. He may lack class, but he is a top notch footballer. We can educate him and give him some etiquette lessons later; we can worry about that when he is here :D

hummels, sahin, higuain. perfect mercato
You still haven't replaced Pepe, or found a creative RWF that can unsettle defenses. It's a good mercato, but nowhere near perfect.

Priority should be as follows:

1) CF
2) RWF
3) Backup CM
4) Backup CB
5) Quality LB

I wonder how real the possibility of Dzeko going out on loan is. If Marotta were to bring him in and buy Jovetic outright this summer I'd have a statue commissioned in his honour (which I would then leave for the pigeons to do as they will, of course).

I am not talking only about etique , jovetic is more like del piero , he is a number 10 with much more class and ability as a player than suarez

I agree, but I also think Suarez is an immense talent. If we have a chance to get him, we shouldn't hesitate.

If we somehow manage to acquire both :tuttosport: :tuttosport:

 I'd actually contribute to having that statue commissioned in his honor if those transfers transpire.

Dzeko is a very realistic target, as previously stated Guidetti will return to city, thus further limiting Dzeko's chances of playing more often, balotelli will most likely stay, whilst i think city will keep tevez now.

Alternatively i wouldn't be surprised if we end up linked with adebayor as well in the summer.

If Napoli is prepared to sell Cavani, we should go for him , but i am abit perplexed when Marotta says he is looking for an Ibra like player (in terms of affecting the team). I think some one like Ibra who we can reach out would be either Robben or RVP. It would be a bomb if we reach for both.
