small club player and hasn't had a great season so far.

pls what?
he scored 14 freaking goals already... having his best season so far.... you can argue if he can show his talent anywhere else than cologne and maybe the nt but he is having a monster season. he def. had a hard time at munich but he was very young at this point and maybe not ready for it

Really? Payed no attention to any statistics. Watched him a couple of times this season and each time he was awful, and I don't mean "he was so and so", he was: a w f u l. :/ I guess he's having a good season then, I don't care enough to follow him. Either way I would prefer a lot of other Germans before I went for him.

He's not only a small club player either as he plays very well for Germany (like most good German players).
Pretty much sums it up. I actually do like the guy but I'd prefer someone else. I'm tired of bringing in players with the risk of not having the mentality to do their job. That will of course always be the case but to a certain degree and we can't keep on spending cash like we are. Not on crap. The amount of crap we've bought for the sums we've spent are just breathtakingly large.

Edit: lol I just realized it sounded like I believe Pod is crap, which of course isn't the case. I only meant I'd like to spend our cash on more safer bets.

I would prefer to sign a fullback for our left and do a "wait and see". Next season we will need a WC striker and most likely a winger too and a few backups (RB for example). But until then I would like to see how the team will shape up, can Quag hit his old form again, can Matri be more consistent, what will happen with Krasic, can Elia become a regular starter and a GOOD starter? There are too many unanswered questions in this team already to stir it up even more with further signings. Get a defender at our left and let's see what happens, we should be able to reach top three as it is unless Barza gets injured. Hopefully no one of Vidal-Pirlo-Marchisio will get a long-term injury. I have never seen Ansaldi so I can't say if he is our guy or not and Cissokho has been rather inconsistent according to the Lyon fans but perhaps all he needs is a new environment. His positioning is rather poor IMHO but hopefully Serie-A can teach him some? I dunno.

Believe him or not, Zuliani said Juve were gonna sign Vidic this winter mercato but because of the injury it won't happen. His source was Vidic's agent.
I don't belive it at all,Man UTD was playing in CHL and i don't think Vidic would leave Man UTD(Who pas playing in CHL) for Juventus .

Lichsteiner - Barzagli - Vidic - Chiellini :tuttosport:

Juventus want to take Real Madrid's Raul Albiol on loan in January
The Bianconeri are desperate to sign a central defender during the upcoming transfer window and have seemingly set their sights on the Spanish international

Juventus have reportedly made contact with Real Madrid over taking Raul Albiol on loan for the second half of the season.

Albiol has slipped down the central defensive pecking order at the Santiago Bernabeu recently, only featuring four times in La Liga this season.

According to AS, Juve have made their interest in bringing the player to Turin in January known to Madrid through an intermediary.

Bianconeri boss Antonio Conte is said to be desperate to reinforce his defence during the transfer window with Italy’s Giorgio Chiellini currently being deployed at left-back and Andrea Barzagli and Leonardo Bonucci failing to impress the coach.

Albiol arrived in the Spanish capital from Valencia in 2009 and is now vying with Pepe, Ricardo Carvalho and Sergio Ramos for a place in the Madrid starting lineup.
Wouldn't be a bad move imo.

The part in bold wtf

Haven't really seen much of Albiol past two season since I rarely watch RM play (it's too boring). Has he done well? He looked very promising in Valencia but seems to have declined since? I have no idea. Would be a very good backup though and should do better than Bonucci right? Although I'd still prefer a long-term solution on our lefty backy.
