Probably the same reasons I though Pirlo would never join us.
Pirlo is not a Milan idol though. Fan favourite, yeah. Legend, maybe? But DDR is a God to them and the heir to Totti's throne. Milan fans didn't lose much sleep over Pirlo's departure. With De Rossi, you can expect riots, Baggio-to-Juve style. They'll hate him forever.

There have been bigger surprises, but yeah, it won't happen. He probably won't even leave Roma, imo.

No point in getting De Rossi now when our midfield is looking good. Getting DDR would mean benching one of him, Vidal, or Marchisio. We should only look for decent backup for Pirlo, after securing a good LB of course.
You mean a deep lying playmaker? Hmm, where can we find one of those? I heard this guy from Roma, De Rossi, is pretty good in that position.

Imagine these players in our midfield departement:

Pirlo, De Rossi, Vidal, Marchisio, Cigarini

boom. Would be the best midfield. Depth, class, skill, versatile, italian.
Best in Italy? Perhaps. Best in Europe? No Chance! Cigarini is so overrated on these forums!

We really should be adding quality. Enough of adding numbers. Guys like Farfan and Schellotto shouldn't even be considered.

We don't need a direct replacement for Pirlo. It'll be easier to find a quality player of a different position than someone who can do what Pirlo does half as well.
Yeah, I prefer a creative midfielder, not necessarily similar to Pirlo. We don't need a replacement for Pirlo right now, though. We only need someone to cover for him when he's not available.

Hence he and Pirlo should compete for the spots. It sucks that Pirlo has unquestioned first priority in the team.
These two are considered top players. Even though De Rossi is in somewhat of a bad form. You can't have two big names competing for one spot. Not in our current status anyway.

I can't get why people rate Pique , he is playing in best team in the world !
Noone has balls to attack Barcelona that's why he looks good, but he ain't nothing near Chiellini .
And who the hell can e T.Silva better than Chiellini ?! He had one great season till now while Chiellini had 3 great seasons even he was playing with average players around .

Vidic is 30 y old i would buy him for something like 20 mln E without thinking twice , but i'm affraied they would ask more than 25 mln E for him

It's called opinion. Deal with it! On current form, both Silva and Pique are better than Chiellini, and I love the guy.

Agree. We should get a CAM that can play wide aswell like D.Silva. If Pirlo's injured, Marchisio and Vidal can drop deep. If he's not, the CAM can move to the left or right. That way, no one good need be benched.

Best bet is Ramirez.

Ramirez seems to be getting a lot of hype lately. I know he's been having a hot season, but when we were linked with him in the summer, not many people were signing up. I'd wait to see if he can keep it going for the whole season.
