I believe that even next season is too early to count Pirlo out of the starting lineup due to age. What did you mean by next January? The upcoming one or the one after that? Because if you meant the upcoming one you're insane. I'm interpreting what you wrote as the one after, though. I still think he's gonna have alot to give in the coming years. Like I wrote in the Pirlo-thread, he doesn't have alot of pace, but then again, he has never required it. Class is permanent. All he really has to do is stay fit, and he can play for many years.

Just look at a player like Ryan Giggs, who actually IS pace-dependant. He could play until almost 40 and win PL's and CL's. Why can't Pirlo?

Yeah definitely meant january 2013, not 2012. And I completely agree, if Pirlo can stay injury free he should start. But I do feel a tad nervous about us depending on his creativity alone throughout next season. Bringing JoJo to the club would be great, you can shift the playmaker position from the deeper version Pirlo is playing to a real AMC when Pirlo isn't feeling up to beat or in a form slump. No way he is maintaining this level for 2 seasons in a row
