Being moved out of his natural position to allow Pizarro to shine made De Rossi less effective.
Not really... When he was great and when he started playing he was way more offensive, he even played on the wing. Something similar to Marchisio's moving to the left. Later on he was given a direct DM role and he was rather average for like 3 seasons, he never did anything to be called a great or WC player in that period.

Now he's given a more defensive role, where he goes to the CB spot when they go in attack. So this is not the 'old De Rossi' but more like a new role for him, and it suits him very good so far.

Would you guys trade the current Marchisio for De Rossi?

Frankly as much as I love De Rossi, Marchisio is one of a kind Turin born and bread. I would never be able to say yes to such a deal.

Next season MF: Pirlo, Marchisio, Vidal, Pazienza, De Rossi (free) & Montolivo (free) :tuttosport: Funny that that whole midfield would have cost Juventus €10m in transfer fees.
