Gianni Di Marzio:

''Conte is a good friend of mine, I spoke with him and he does not want a static Striker, I think it's safe to say Dzeko will not be joining''

Good.

I'd take DiMarizio at face value here. Highly unlike Conte will reveal anything to a market guru. He also went on to say Suarez doesn't fit the formation, and that's bs coz he fits it like a glove. Vucinic-Quag-Suarez would be a fucking forcefield

Suarez must be the priority due to his versatility. If we can trade both Krasic and Elia in the deal its a no-brainer. Get him asap.
In an world where Barcelona directors had any brains they would have gone for Falcao yesterday. Either their club is lacking money/being drained or Txiki is absolute crap as GM.
We have to use the Napoli-Atletico M axis. Put pressure on both teams with simultaneous bids and force one of them to broker a more reasonable deal. Spend in excess of 30m on this deal to show intention and ambition. If Marotta does one of those deals with Suarez or Cavani/Falcao that would be a good summer. In case both are completed it would be like no summer before. I will wake up at 5 in the morning for the friendlies to watch them.

Vucinic - Cavani/Falcao - Suarez
Pepe, Borriello/Matri, Quag, Youngster/Bargain buy (Should have been the captain and then that youngster ... :( )

Suarez = Krasic, Elia + 10m
Cavani/Falcao = 30m + players (Motta, 50% Giovinco...)

We have the cash to complete both those transactions atm. Still some cash to get from Melo, Pazienza, Ziegler and company to fill other spots in the team. If we have in excess of 50m as hard cash at the beginning of the market we should manage it just fine.

It's not the market guru, it's his father :p

If Cavani comes, will we be assuming then, that Suarez will not as RwF. Technically they work together, but would this arrange, net work for our budget!?
Suarez and Cavani won't come. Only one of them.

Pepe will be the first choice at RW next year.

Do we got a big chance if they don't make CL? :weee:

Also, have you heard anything about a defender? Giovinco? Jovetic?
I think he's the most realistic, as far as competition goes, we don't have any at the moment.

Giovinco, depends on him. If he would accept a bench role because Vucinic is seen as number one, I think he'll be part of the Cavani deal.

Jovetic will stay in Florence.

Astori or Bocchetti for CB.

Why can't they both come? I don't see an objective reason. FFS after all the penny pinching that Marotta was doing from day one must have some results at last, no?
About Giovinco and the rest I agree. Personally I don't care about the dwarf, but if his Parma president sees him as a 40m player, then he should just cough up 20m and we'll have Gio No.10 delivered for his soon coming birthday party. Its sad what happened to Jovetic. He deserves a better club, but he will be available next year if Fiorentina's fortunes do not turn for the better... unbelievably better tbh. Astori/Boch cool - italian and all ... ;)
