The football people at Liverpool would never sell him.

However, their American owners (and American sponsors) were pretty upset at the whole racism thing, so they may well be willing to sell him if they believe he has tarnished the image of the Liverpool brand.
I think they'd sell if the offer was high enough. 30-35 million or so. They've made tough decisions like that for the Red Sox in the past.

Also - Ivanovic will not be leaving Chelsea.
He's already become a club legend, and is in his best years.
AVB, Chelsea's previous manager, already messed up by selling Alex, meaning that with Ivanovic at right back (Where he plays most of his games), Chelsea are short in the middle, with only Terry, Luiz and Cahill.
I promise, there's absolutely no way Ivanovic will be joining us. At all.

Would be dope.

But we would be wasting at least one of Pogba/Verratti/Marrone...no way they would all get enough playing time. :moan: Or can you see Conte rotating players that much?

Its me sorta being stubborn in not admitting one would go on loan, but think about this:

Conte rotated all season long our midfield (between 2 formations) of Marchisio, Pirlo, Vidal, Giach, Padoin, Marrone (2-3 games), Pepe and Esti...that was only 2 competiions so I don't see why he wouldn't do so in 3 competitions.

To be fair our sponsors are Asian. Not American. Unless you count the new kit deal.
Okay.

Good point. We NEED to rotate more next season anyway.

If it was totally up to me:

DEFENCE:

I would buy a top class left back - Kolarov might cost around 10-12m. I would get a central defender on a Bosman - like Samuel or Astori who is also on a Bosman - no point spending big $$ on just a back up. Caceres to bought out for 7-8m. Sell Zieger for 2-3m. Net cost for defense = 17m

MIDFIELD:

Pogba already done on a free. Buy 50% of Verrati for 3-4m. By out Giaccherini for 3m (no brainer). Get Asamoah for 13m. Sell Pazienza and Padoin, should get 8m from those 2. Sell Melo to Gala for 10m. Get Malouda on a Bosman (his contract is up). Sell Elia and Krasic - should get 18m for both of them. Net PROCEEDS here is +16m

ATTACK:

Del Piero retires, Borriello is returned. Get Giovinco for 10m for his 50%. Get Cavani for 40m. Sell Matri for 15m and get Drogba on a Bosman. Net spend here is 35m

Total net spend is EU36m

IN: KOLAROV, ASTORI, POGBA, VERRATI, ASAMOAH, MALOUDA, GIOVINCO, CAVANI, DROGBA
OUT: PADOIN, PAZIENZA, MELO, ELIA, KRASIC, MATRI, DEL PIERO (its done), BORRIELLO

Squad:

GK: Buffon, Storari, Manninger
DEF: Lichsteiner, Caceres, Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini, Astori, Kolarov, De Ceglie
MID: Vidal, Pirlo, Marchisio, Giaccherini, Asamoah, Pogba, Verrati, Marrone, Pepe
FWD: Vucinic, Giovinco, Cavani, Drogba, Quagliarella

Malouda can suck his Toulalan.

And Drogba, well I would kill that fucking piece of shit with my bare hands if he would even try to wear our jersey.

Chelsea as a club is a piece of shit and we don't need their leftovers.

Robben 'turned down Juve’
By Football Italia staff

Arjen Robben has revealed that there was solid interest in him from Serie A side Juventus, but that “in my mind, there was only Bayern.”

The Bayern Munich winger was linked to the Turin giants earlier this season as he approached the summer with only a year left on his contract.

However, following on from having signed an extension with the Bavarians, the winger has substantiated claims that he turned down the Bianconeri’s advances.

“Juventus did try to get me,” the former Real Madrid man told Voetbal International this week.

“When I learned of their interest, through my agents, I was impressed and honoured. However, in my mind there was only Bayern.

“I wanted to stay in Germany and I think that with this contract renewal I could end my career in Germany.”

---

Well, at least the staff's got the right sort of players in mind this time around.
