I think our problems are easy to see
CF we dont have a monster but we are good.
Wingers/AM - We have many with quality.
Mid - We need an upgrade on Locatelli not a random dude.
CBs - Ideally we need 2 great CBs but lets start with one.
GK - D.G is not a problem so I guess we should wait until we find an opportunity to upgrade.

midfield is the biggest problem. you can get away with mario, cambiaso, kalulu and mckennie and their inconsistencies and the tradeoffs they bring as our attack is stacked. you can even get away with a di gregorio drop of form (if noticed by tudor in time lol) as perin will do the job just fine

but you cannot get away with a slow locatelli and a consistently invisible koopmeiners doing their thingy in front of the defense and now opposition teams discovering that diagonal shots from the edge of the box are encouraged because nobody will step close to the shooter

while i like the fact that we can score 4 goals now, i wish we had the defensive solidity of pirlo's team. conceding sub 20 goals during a league season guarantees 80+ points. it's a matter of coaching too, but we certainly miss one competent box to box to partner thuram to begin with.

Id agree on investing in our players if we knew how to improve our own valuation. I dont really care about improving Reals player. What i do care about is managing our budget so we can prioritise areas where we are weak.

I dont know.. I mean yeah his last 2 games have not been the best, his shot stopping skills are good but not great (Peruzzi was quite the same but I never heard of any complain regarding Peruzzi).
I mean sure I`d want an upgrade but can you list it as more important than a top CM or a top CB?

Fully agree that CM is our numero uno problem, and yes we need a long term solution. The last midfielder we signed in winter who brought instant impact was ... Zakaria?

In any case we should avoid another Alcaraz or Rincon panic buy. I hope Comolli started looking for targets already lol. Oh wait he hasn't signed a DM yet.
