I wouldn't take anyone from this list.

Then I suggest you have corrective eye surgery and take another look at our current squad.

Because besides age on a couple of them (Lewa, Carvajal), there's absolutely nothing that would disqualified them from the needs of our squad.

They are all more then good enough top names or outright upgrades.

What is their ethos?

The problem with all of them are wages or wages + injury history or wages + floppy. With the salary demand they want to shift to us they'd need to be our star player. Not sure any of them fits the description. But if e.g. Silva accepts lower salary I'd take him in a heartbeat.

There is - wages. I checked Bernardo and he's getting around 10mln net at 31yo. I didn't bother to check the wages of remaining players but I suspect they are in a similar situation.
What these players also have in common is that they are currently playing for top clubs (excluding Dybala and this one defender). There must be a reason why those clubs haven't yet extended them. In my opinion it's because they no longer want to invest in them. If they don't want to, why would we?
I think it's a better idea to focus on younger and still hungry players. They come with a fee but their total annual cost is similar due to smaller wages.

Obviously I would have nothing against any of these players coming here on a 2 years contract worth 3mln net per year. Problem is they want double or triple of that for a longer period. That's why I wrote I'm against signing any of them.

De Jong is injured that's why i think we can pull it off! if we can add him can't count on him as regular starter because of his injury record. He's not worth this ridiculous salary.
Silva would be a serious target if he willing to wage cut.
I'd take Konate.
We don't have space for the rest, I avoid taking them, either injury prune or high salary demand.

You should opened with this. Financially it makes sense. 80% of those in that list we won't be able to afford their salaries most likely.

Or be able to attract them on sporting level (that entire backline is Real Madrid, PSG and Liverpool bound).

Financially I get the conundrum.

But for some reason if we can afford any of them or couple of them, they would be a boost and upgrade.

Especially De Jong or any of the defenders.

That's like a fucking all-star team compared to ours.

Apart from Vlahovic.

Pretty much, on footballing level that's a pretty fantastic free agent 11.

But I get being wary of them when it comes to affording them salary wise.

Ever since De Jong has been at Barca I'm hearing they want to get rid of him but they can't. Vlahovic and Dybala everyone here know their situation. Bernardo numbers are way too low for his salary.
What I'm saying is these players are overpaid and that's the reason their contracts run out in less than 12 months.

according to capology:
- guéhi earns ~2m € net
- konaté ~3m
- upamecano ~5m

they'd probably all start for jj. gatti earns 3m, kelly 2.5 net for reference

my bet is that guéhi is a free agent because he wants to earn much more than this

This is the alternate reality, where players like koop flop and the kellys thrive, someone pinch me.
PL rejects > Atalanta doped Epstein system players :com:
