Im pretty sure your count is wrong..
Juventus WON in 96 (pre-Zizou) then lost 97 and 98 to Dortmund and Real (Mijatovic`s offside goal). In 99 we got eliminated in the semis against Man Utd (That year DP got his horrendous injury).

As for Zizou as a coach - He would earn at least 3 times the amount Motta earns and doesnt really ensure anything. He got that feat with Real Madrid, nothing in that says he would excel as a Juve coach (on the other thing it doesnt mean he would fail.)
In terms of sure things: We would pay more for him, you wouldnt know for how long he is going to stay here.

David being an expiring makes it realistic to get him this winter without also selling Vlahovic. It’s clear we can’t rely on just Vlahovic, even if he gets it going again. I would like to see Anghele get an opportunity (don’t think he’s fit currently) but they should go after David hard in January regardless. It also gives them insurance if Vlahovic fucks around with his contract because it’s also obvious his current salary isn’t acceptable.
