So we may have bought him at his absolute max value, because he had a good first half of the season, and we’re leaving him at Parma?

Head-scratcher, considering our midfield issues and the zero depth we have out wide in attack.

Hope the kid turns out amazing, but not really sure why we aren’t doing at least something about our current issues.

Its just speculation on my part of why they want to sell now, Atalanta are always quick to sell, their president said as much, very upfront about maximising sales (think of Genoa selling Piatek mid season when was scoring like crazy, prolly figured safer value wise to sell immediately), and investing immediately in youth academy. He is proud of their model. Kusulevski has been with with them since he was 15, and he is breaking out, but instead of thinking we should use him in our growing in CL playoffs team, his model is sell asap and reinvest.


The issue is what's in the way this case, a 3rd team Parma that has the loan rights for him until June (maybe even paid for it?). And if we wanna speculate further, we are quick to do the deal now because we want him so much that we dont wanna risk Inter getting him. They were just about to sign him too, but we have more spending power, so prolly didnt hesitate as much to pull the trigger.

Why would Tonali join this sinking ship when he can join the next European dynasty Beppe is creating at Inter? At this rate we will be lucky to not get relegated by 2021.
