What, you were against it for financial reasons? A player who had 25-30m release clause but performing like a 70m type of player?
Release clause is only small bit of the cost though. Commissions, signing fees and wages have to be taken into account.

8m wages for your 4th striker? Yeah, Juve can't afford that for sure.

He is winger/attacking midfielder we need Pogba to solve our midfield problems
Then at least he can ease the strain on HDR and replace bernadeschi as the trequartista

No. We don’t get him until next year. 45m to a player we leave at another clubs mercy?

It’s clear we need rotation now
Apparently pjaca may go to parma though as a replacement

4 goals, 7 assists.

Would people be happier to not sign a midfielder? Or take a gamble on someone who has been a revelation this season? And yet less than 24 hours ago people were having a meltdown not paying 45 mill for haaland. You know that striker so many here claimed we didnt need
Ur happy over a guy with 4 goals but for the same fee would have been unhappy with a guy with 28 goals

I don’t get u

Also, don't get why people expect him to instantly elevate us to a CL winning team. He is 19 years old, he will only get better with time and experience and our midfield/forward line is old as fuck.

He is getting 4m net in salary by Dortmund. We could afford that, we paid Mandzu that to be frozen out, we pay Danilo, Can, Khedira, Rabiot between 4-7.5m each, and they contribute fuck all to our season so far.

We have the 3rd highest salary budget in all of sports and half the squad are mediocre. So defenitely more generous then you would think.

We didnt get him for salary most likely, but because he chose a more suitable career path. Raiola said as much, he also said Man u was his 2nd choice.

One guy plays in the Austrian league, the other plays in Serie A.
One guy plays in a position where we are stacked, the other guy plays in positions where we desperately need quality and depth (wings and trequartista).
One guy is a striker, so obviously he will score a lot more than the guy is who is the facilitator and creator.

He looks like a player who thrives on direct play. Heck most of his goals are from direct play. He’ll do well with Dortmund...a guy like Giroud is probably a better “fit” with our playing style...which is kind of depressing...

based on what i've seen of him so far, he's kind of a clumsy passer, so with our defense, especially with our right back situation, it would be a suicide to play him there. just my 2 cents.
My thinking is that he's 19 and doesn't have a really preferred position so he might be malleable to some extent.

And I don't think his end product will ever be great enough to be a top winger.

Obviously right now he is not professional enough to play in midfield but we're not getting him now anyways. And probably will only count on him after a couple seasons.
