Can we ever rely on Ramsey though?

Exactly. Ramsay is turning out to be a failed ‘opportunistic’ buy. Great guy with bad fitness.

Anyway, our ‘opportunistic’ signings have failed us for he past three years. Can Rabiot Khedira etc.

In fact, our mega money deals are the ones that actually play well. Higgy, Cr7, and de ligt to some extent.

I'd be interested in Insigne, unfortunately I don't think there is any room for him on the team, especially given the change in formation. He is proven under Sarri's methods though. We definitely should be looking at players rumoured to leave Napoli though - Mertens, Insigne, Allan, Koulibaly, Callejon all rumoured to leave with Allan being the biggest opportunity. The addition of Allan & Pogba with Pjanic would make the midfield arguably the best in the world.

I'd consider only Allan, Koulibaly and Fabian from Napoli. Everyone else are Berna's at best.
Allan for sure is the one that most suits us & our needs. I don't think they sell Fabian unless its for a lot of money. Koulibably probably isn't the best use of cash relative to needs considering De Ligt has been good & Bonucci is playing well. But all are great players. Allan/Fabian would make the biggest difference, but I only think Allan is available. Obviously if we were to sign any of them, I would be happy with any of those you highlighted. I'd probably be least receptive to Callejon & Mertens given their ages. I'd be happy with Insigne because it would mean Sarri has a plan on how to use him. And I know most here don't like him but Liverpool fans are literally breathing a sight of relief he isn't playing against them. Comments include: "Thank god", "that's massive", etc.

He definitely has a place. We have only one LW as it stands right now in Ronaldo and he can play as a trequartista as well.

I really like him as a player especially because of his ability to make 1 touch passes, which makes him very hard to defend. How would you line up with him CR7, Dybala, and Higuain?
My other concern is I don't think he'd come here. He seems to have Nainggolan syndrome re: Juve - especially if that video of him appearing to intentionally not to give an autograph to a kid with a Juve jersey captured his actual intentions.

There's no way they could all play at the same time imo. But having such options can only benefit us. As it stands now one of the three we have are usually benched depending on the matchup anyway. But imagine - Insigne instead of Bernardesci in the 4-3-1-2. OR we could play a 4-3-3 and have Insigne on the LW if Ronaldo is being rested (yeah I know, but he's getting older) or injured.
Yeah, I figure he will never come here :sigh:

De Ligt-Koulibaly would be by far the best CB partnership in the world.

On the other hand we need mostly Allan. If he joins us then there is no reason to see Khedira and Matuidi starting.

GdS running a story that Chiesa will join us in the summer for about €70m, he's chosen us over Inter.
Happy to have him. Next breakout Italian player, hard worker, skilful and we need more wingers. That price is pretty steep, but it is what it is.

We should try and get Tonali as well. Zaniolo is a long-shot, but we’d be crazy not to at least try.
