You have to agree with the first part too. :D

When was the last time our spendings were big without us selling big names? Vidal, Pogba, Bonucci and others funded our wingers, Pipita and others.

Also, even when we spend 'big' it's mostly just players who faded away and/or the ones with small-ish salary. But us spending huge without sales and giving him a huge salary? Man, it's never going to happen.

We have already spent 40 million on Costa no wonder we are targeting can and de vrij our transfer budget is entirely used up on wages

Not sure.. I mean I didnt really see him play for Atletico but I do remember him playing for Sassuolo..
Actually the player who I was most impressed with (from Sassuolo) was him.. I used to watch their games because of Berardi and in the end I was disappointed by Berardi but impressed by him..
The thing is - Attacking wise he isnt the player to dribble past opponents and cut in from wide (winger style) but he is or at least was kind of an RB playmaker from what I have seen of him - He made wise decisions and was very crucial for their game
Defensive wise - I didnt notice him make any big mistake but he seems to me like he is a bit weak physically and might not hold up against a tough opponent so Im really not sure about how to assess him defensively

Overall he is a good player but I bet there are other RB who can be just as good for us

P.S We seem to be linked with Fabinho lately - How is he doing this season?

:tuttosport:

btw it's almost time to have a look at our squad and see how many italians do we have left. buffon will retire at the end of the season, so it's chiellini, ds, barza, and stu. (marchisio, rugani and pinsoglio qualify as homegrown players for serie a. also, dybala might be considered as an association grown player, i'm not sure about him.) we should have at least 4 non-homegrown italians in the squad or we'll lose an other place of the potential 25.
yep, time to focus on the italian market a bit. Spinazzola and Caldara are likely coming, Pellegri would be dope too (hell be 17 in the summer iirc, so he could be our own club grown player if we get him). id like some mid too, Verratti? :sarcasm:

I like the fact we got Pogba at the time but losing on Verratti hurts more than selling Pogba for a record fee at the time..
Pogba is a French footballer who has no loyalty
Verratti might have loyalty and might not but the thing is - Italians are less likely to ask to leave so should we got him at the time he would probably still be playing for us!
Verratti is a break the bank kind of player - One who can raise our quality and one who would remain!
The thing is we kind of lack some quality in central midfield so getting him would even be better now than before..

Our most important player at the moment is Pjanic as he is also the only quality midfielder we have in central midfield...

If we keep all our players - We need to sign a RB and 2 CM
RB - Its a mystery as there are some good ones but am not sure about getting them with a low price..
CM - Can is coming but he isnt the type I had in mind when I said 2 midfielders...
1. Creative kind of CM so he can play alongside Pjanic and also provide some creativity when Pjanic is not available..
2. Destroyer type - a midfielder who is very good defensive wise and it would be a bonus if he has any attacking ability as well - Matuidi can be his backup since he is the closest thing we have for this role...

RB 40M
CM 40M
CM 100M
Spread it for years as much as I care and our team will look twice as good as it is now
The rumor says Dybala will not be here next season - If thats the case you can say Dybala gone will be at the price of Verratti so 80M net spent and you can also spread it over years... (of course I would prefer the scenario which sees Dybala staying)
Anyway nothing from this will happen (maybe the Dybala leaving part will) since our board likes to "be competitive by spending on 2nd rate players"

Release clause? contract up? if there isnt one there is no chance for it to happen.. too bad as Hysaj is class

Verrati is a weak karacta'd player. He chokes in big moments, we have lots of those, we don't need more. Give me someone that would thrive next to Miralem, someone like SMS and Kovacic :tuttosport:

Think long term with the GK tho.

Defense? Caldara and Spinna coming. Really only need a RB. Keep Sandro. Problem solved

I only see two critical positions we need: RB and CM.

We will have the money to splurge on at least 2 top class players
The pole ain't 40 bro.

Keep Sandro? :beppe2:

To change the subject a bit...

I wonder if Beppe has anyone from Genoa lined up this winter mercatto, it’s always someone that pops up all of a sudden without any rumours untill the week we eventually buy him... whats the odds on maybe lets say Laxalt to join in as a backup fullback?:beppe2:

#Whats the overall opinion over here about him?
