Do you know this other kid the article mentions, Eder Militao? He has a clause...

:beppe:
hes ok, he has height but he would need to bulk up to survive in Europe. I've only seen him play RB but he's a very defensive minded player, not really who we need at RB. He can play in defensive mid and even CB but again nothing special to be honest.

If Sandro really wants to leave he can $#@! off as far as I'm concerned. He is good but not irreplaceable, plus his attitude this season stinks.

Ghoulam has done his ACL, there's no way of knowing whether he will recover to his best. I hope he does but you never know with that injury.

Gaya (Valencia) would also be excellent alternative replacements.
Stop acting as if an ACL injury is the end of the world. It is the norm to return at the same level with exceptions who don't. I'd love Ghoulam if AS intends to move.

First names to pop up when you say 'ALC injury' are Del Piero and Ronaldo.

Both players lost half their quality afterwards

Great vision by some tuzzers, the eye of Beppe probably having an influence over here as i see how low our expectations are on the market when i see some of you claiming how you’d let another world-class player as Alex Sandro go just to replace him with an injury-prone mediocre wingback as Ghoulam. :shifty:  no offence but i really dk where or how some of you even come up with this suggestions... the guy would be at most nothing more than a back-up for Spinazzola yet people discussing him as if he’s on the same level with AS when even in poor form AS is a class above this Ghoulam dude...

That's who I was thinking of too. However, those two tore their ACL back in the late 90's. A lot of progress has been made since.

Ghoulam has been the best performing left back in Serie A this season. 5 assists in 17 games is something even Marcelo would be proud of, and he's not too shaby defensively either.

As for your claim that Spinazzola is better than Ghoulam, I really don't know what to say. :facepalm2:

Honestly now, you saying it because regularly you personally watched Ghoulam play or you just guessing that he is that good due to his 5 assists that 'even Marcello would be proud of’ that he offered in a ultra-offensive team as Napoli that regularly scores 4+ goals past Seria A minnows?... Tbh i seen him play a couple of times and in my view he is a decent player, but nothing more than that, certainly not world-class material. I’d rate a on-form Alex Sandro as ten levels above him and i woudnt underrate Spinazzola either... anyway i see 0 chances of Ghoulam coming here in the near future, even if Napoli is willing to sell it will surely be to Premier League, only there they’d be willing to overpay.

Both completely outdated examples. Medicine and especially orthopedics has come a long way since then.

Who said they were on the same level? They're not but let's face reality here... If AS continues to play with his head up in the transfer window, his time in Turin has come to an end and we'd need a replacement. Spinazzola is coming back for sure but Asamoah will probably leave and we'd need another LB. I'm curious to see your more proven player suggestions...

You want realistic/approachable suggestions or fantasy footbal ones? I dont want to get into it because there are so many on both categories...

- This whole AS thing is a bit exaggerated, Beppe said he has some personal issues and everyone loses it out here, how can you even think is about him wanting to leave and not be allowed to is really beyond me, Beppe gave him the chance to to go this summer and he chose to stay with us, i seriously doubt his issues are regarding us not letting him go or the even more exaggerated suggestion out here that he would leave during winter mercato, LOL just STOP, might have other things on his mind not football-related you never know, but what i do know for sure is that he will stay here at least till next summer and he will bounce back this season, no doubt!

We obviously did NOT give him the opportunity to leave. The rest is just plain and simple guessing. And I always spoke with 'IF' for a reason...

Still curious about better suggestions than Ghoulam 'though. Of course realistic ones...

Doesn’t say. Us vs ManU
well we have Pjanic, Matuidi, Marchisio, Khedira, Bentancur, Sturaro currently, as far as CMs go. lets assume Khedira leaves and Can comes, who else do we sell to make space for a high profile player like Fabinho? hed be at the top of the pecking order together with Pjanic and Matuidi, then there are Marchisio and Can who also would play quite the minutes, so thats 5 CMs with big minutes. goodbye Bentancur then i guess. get either him or Can id say
