yes you are wrong. accept it
Why should I? It seems to be a typical Italian thing..same happened with Shaqiri and Inter and IMO also with Benatia. You just needed to listen to Rummenigge, how he said all demands were fulfilled with a big grin on his face and how Hoeneß started to talk bad about Costa the moment he was gone..they wouldnt do it, if there was a chance of Costa coming back. Costa to Juve is done and dusted mark my words.

The deal Juventus did with Bayern for Coman was a legitimate 7M loan with option, though, right? I remember Bayern hierarchy saying that they intended to exercise their option at one point, as though it was a legitimate option.

I think the Costa deal could be a legitimate 6M loan with option.

We'll see what happens here, you could be right, but neither of the press releases on the clubs websites actually mentioned an obligation -- which they would have mentioned, if there was a games played clause, etc. Those obligations are usually acknowledged at this point, like with the Howedes deal, for example.

But you said it's not an option but an obligation, which clearly isn't the case here. We will most likely buy him (which at 6M wages would be a mistake imo), but let's say for the sake of the argument that Allegri gets sacked, we get a new coach who don't even play Costa at all, demands a different player. Marotta still buys him at such a hefty sum and 3rd best wages in the team? I don't think so really

Nothing happens in the winter anymore. In the summer of 2018:

OUT: Buffon, Barzagli, Benatia, Lichtsteiner, Asamoah, Sturaro

Buffon and Barzagli will probably retire after the World Cup. Lichtsteiner and Asamoah aren't good enough anymore. Benatia and Sturaro were never good enough. I wouldn't be against keeping some of these guys as squad players if they aren't on huge wages.

IN: Caldara, Lirola, Spinazzola, Torreira, Backup GK

We need to follow Real Madrid's example and buy the best young talent in our league. I was pissed when we didn't get Keita, a talented young player who clearly wanted to join us. In a few years from now 30million for him will probably look like a bargain.

Yes I say its an obligation and not an option. As I said u just needed to listen to Rummenigge to know its a done deal..he couldnt say that Costa is already sold due to some agreement between Juve and Bayern so he tried to say it indirectly. Also Hoeneß talking crap about him that they r happy the mercenary is gone. Juve obviously make this kind of deals for accounting reasons or cos of the player-not-EU-rule. Costa is urs and the only way to prove me right would be a Shaqiri scenario, where Inter sold him after the "loan" directly without the player coming back to Munich. That deal is the same I m 100% sure.

and you just needed to listen to Marotta to know Draxler to Juve is a done deal... oh wait, how did that turn out again? point being, there are no guarantees in football, words are meaningless pretty much, the only relevant thing is the paper which says we have an OPTION. also as i said, we will most likely use the option unless some radical changes happen, but we could chose not to if we wanted to, also at the risk of disrupting our great relations with Bayern

We will need one more cb or barzagli might extend his contract and there might be some good freebies available in 2018 like de vrij gimenez ghoulam can

So basically caldara will replace benatia
I doubt we'll manage to sell this Benatia.
We had a chance with Marseille but we coudn't sell another cb after Bonucci.
This swapping Rugani-Benatia-Barzagli doesn't help Rugani.
Good or Bad he must be a starter to develope even building up mentality.
Cause right now everytime he players he always gives out the vibe of a scared kid afraid to make an error

I wish we had the Benatia from Rome. That was a rock solid defender.
Together with Chiellini it's would be an awesome duo.....

Still Allegri needs to make a choice make Rugani play or Benatia building back their form

"We have players whose contracts are coming to an end and we’re evaluating various positions,” Marotta told Tuttomercatoweb.

“We’ll define our contractual relations without problems, both sides have the desire to continue and we’re happy to have players like Barzagli and Chiellini.”
Could mean nothing of course, but a one year extension seems likely imo.

I doubt benatia will be back to the defender he was at roma I basically don't recollect any good game he had for juve i was very surprised when we took the option to sign him good thing is that there might be two good defenders like de vrij and gimenez available for free which marotta cannot let go off

Juventus to let Howedes go?

Juventus might not activate their option to buy on Benedikt Howedes if his injury problems don’t clear up, it’s reported.

He arrived on loan from Schalke 04 for €3.5m with obligation to buy for another €13m if he puts together 25 competitive appearances this season.

However, Howedes is yet to receive his Juve debut, having suffered from a thigh strain that’ll keep him out for at least another couple of weeks.

Now Mediaset Premium suggest the club is hedging its bets and looking towards Stefan de Vrij, who has still not signed a new contract with Lazio.

His current deal is due to expire at the end of the season, so Lazio could accept a €20m proposal in January.
