what about a return to BL, to a team where he would be guaranteed a starting spot?

i like Can as a backup player that can play multiple positions, but i think we are signing only one CM (Khedira likely leaves, one CM arrives), and i want that guy to be Milinkovic-Savic. if Sergej isnt coming, then i want a low profile backup CM, as i want Bentancur to play more, so a guy like Can would not be a priority to me, even if hes a great opportunity for 0€

"lets take other players in similar position or role (to Can) that excel in that league: Matic, Fernandinho, Kante, hell, even Yaya Toure had great passing/distribution combined with his physical attributes.

Can is nowhere near that level. Not saying he is useless, just not anywhere near being a great player at the moment. Maybe Max will transform him, who knows"

Nothing more than a squad player. He is not better than what we currently have. On a positive, he is young so he can still develop.

yes, indeed a leap it is. But do you see him take that leap with us? personally im not convinced. But if we can make him into a semi-turkish/german version of Pogba it would be great. Max is decent at motivating these youngsters.

Can is a player of Khedira's level. We should sign him and let Khedira go. He's younger, can play an extra role in midfield (in front of defense) which Khedira can't, and can play as a CB. Would enable us to loan Bencantur out too if need be.

But more importantly, we need to sign a quality B2B starter. Been needing this player since Vidal left.
