Benatia for 17m is a waste, better buy younger cheaper Italian cb...
It definitely isn't, he's been great with us.

We already have 2 young italian CBs secured ( and im sure more that I am not aware of), 1 is already starting with us (Rugani), the other impressing at Atalanta (Caldara)

Considering the ages of Barzagli & Chiellini, if Benatia can remain as healthy as he's been in the first half then 17m is a bargain.

Considering how 15/16 went for him, id say Benatia is on the mend. Theres a long time left between now and when we can take up that option but until then I dont see any reason why we shouldnt take that up.

"Muscular problems" injury is a new thing in his career but its our way of welcoming him to Juve.

So Marotta said we will be after 2 (top) players for the midfield in the summer. Lets say those 2 are Verratti and Tolisso for example, our midfield would look like this

Verratti Marchisio Pjanic
Khedira Hernanes Tolisso
Sturaro Lemina Rincon Asamoah

+ Bentancur and/or Mandragora eventually. The question is, who leaves? Asamoah is the obvious choice, but I doubt we will have more than 7 (or 8, if one of the 2 youngsters stay with the 1st team) mids in the team so who else? Hernanes, Lemina, Sturaro, Khedira are the only possibilities imo, and Nanes and Lemina are more likely to leave than the other 2

Asamoah, nanes and Lemina are a shoe in to leave IMO. the first 2 are obvious, and while Lemina has potential, it seems allegri doesnt believe in him. Sturaro seems t be going nowhere. Khedira, well i dont know what the board will dp with him, he is not a world beater, in fact i dont like him as of late... but is not as negative as asamoah or nanes, or not wanted like Lemina.

Rincon will come to replace one of nanes lemina or asa...maybe we will bring back mandragora for next campaign, so theres like one or 2 spot left. One of them IMO should be Verrati...we must go all in to sign him. PSG will not sell to us but we ned to find a way to convince the player to prefer us , force a selland well, splash the cash.

Verrati, Marchisio, Pjanic, Sturaro, Rincon, Khedira, Mandragora, Bentancur.

if someone will leave, it will most likely be Khedira, from that bunch.

After the Verrati sale, i dont know if we will be able to aford another WC signing on midfield. If we do, sell sturaro.

Its funny as in terms of stats Pogba was a monster for us (also in terms of play) and some people will say he is overrated.
Verratti while not having half of Pogba`s stats is bein hailed as an equally good player and no one think he is overrated...
Verratti is definitely a great player and would probably play a more advanced role here as I dont think it will be wise to move Marchisio from a role in which he plays twice as good as in any other role.. Anyway I think Verratti is going to have the season of his life if he joins!

If these are the signings for next season who would you pick to be our star signing (considering one of them must be bought...) - Verratti or James
Next season additions: Nzonzi Caldara
Leaving - Non from our first team (consider that if someone from our first team leaves we will get someone equally as good in the same position)
In this hypothetical scenario would you pick Verratti or James?
