I was talking for the summer not january. But i can see James in the free role behind Costa. conte is playing 3421 rather than 343 because the 2 guys behind costa dont need to defend and have freedom to move anywhere.
He could work there, sure. But you have Willian and Pedro, with Pedro specifically being one of the team's best players. It simply isn't necessary. They're better off adding midfield depth. James position is quite frankly the team's most stacked position. Conte spent the whole summer trying to bolster his backline and midfield. Specifically, he has wanted Koulibaly and Nainggolan, but the prices were too high. Those will be the priority positions specifically considering he just sold Oscar. James is just the English press creating hype. If they sell Pedro, then I would start thinking the rumours had more substance.

If you assume an injury to any part of the team, the front line is the least impacted.
Costa: Well you have Batshuayi, or Hazard
If Hazard, Pedro, or Willian are hurt: The other two can play
If Kante or Matic go down, you have Fabregas, and then nothing.
If Moses gets hurt, you have nothing. If Alonso gets hurt, you have nothing.
If one of your CBs get hurt, you have nothing...except John Terry, and he is way too slow given the mobility required of your side centrebacks, and the limitation of his skillset required for the central role.

Before they look at James, they should look at recruiting another midfielder, another CB, another right wingback, another left wingback. As I said, James role is literally the least important to fortify right now.

Sometimes you go to an expensive restaurant and you can't help yourself and order too much food.

See the 2nd part of my post:

Costa: Well you have Batshuayi, or Hazard
If Hazard, Pedro, or Willian are hurt: The other two can play
If Kante or Matic go down, you have Fabregas, who is unsuitable for a 2 man midfield and will get runover by a good team, and then nothing.
If Moses gets hurt, you have nothing. If Alonso gets hurt, you have nothing.
If one of your CBs get hurt, you have nothing...except John Terry, and he is way too slow given the mobility required of your side centrebacks, and the limitation of his skillset required for the central role.

So before they go and buy a 2nd steak at that expensive restaurant, they should worry about buying some vegetables, a beverage, a carbohydrate, and even dessert because having too much meat and nothing else leaves a hole in your pocket and lacking a balanced diet

There is no such a thing as too much meat

Its a good thing to see Milan and Inter getting stronger as it would push us to further strengthen ourselves!
Also it might mean less future scudettos but it would mean a more interesting league and since our competition will be stronger we will get stronger too which means more chances to win the CL!
It would probably mean less titles in the long run but it would also mean a stronger Juve!

Is Schalke still interested in Lemina? Maybe we could use him to take Goretzka from them, if it's true that Allegri doesent see him as an important piece of the squad in the future
The fucking AFCON means Lemina's chances of being sold in January are slim. Can't see them trading for a player who's tied with international duty for the time being.

Honestly, what's got Allegri's panties in a bunch regarding Lemina? The guy is definitely a better option than Sturaro, did he sleep with his daughter?

Luis Gustavo now appears as a plan b to Witsel - various
 :lol2:  What was I saying yesterday? Gustavo and Rincon in the same window? :howler: That's what one would call a nightmare scenario.

We offer them 3 million in wages, and struggle to get rid of them 2 or 3 transfer windows down the line. We already have enough mediocre fillers in that midfield. I wish we'd just make a statement and show ambition for once in the January window. We are so close to making that final step required to be a bonafide CL contender. It's fucking frustrating!

Luiz Gustavo could be available in January on a loan deal with a buy-option. Juve could spend around €5-6m to sign him. [La Stampa]

La Stampa: #Juve could now invest €5-6m in Jan to bring #Gustavo from #Wolfsburg. The German side would be open to loan him w/t an option to redeem

- - - Updated - - -

Turin based La #Stampa report that #Juve could really stop their January mercato at #Rincón's acquisition as backups to #Witsel are pricey

The AFCON will be almost over by the time the mercato ends so unless Gabon goes to the final there is a good chance Lemina will be back in time for an eventual transfer
