Giving Boca half seems a bit crazy does it not?
I'm not too bothered about these deals. If it gets to the point where we are sweating about losing a player with this clause then he's obviously going to have reached world class. We'd have a player that good for at least 3-4 years on our books, and if for example someone like Madrid or Barfa were to tempt him away then the clause would just put another €30m on the fee. €40-€45m for a player in this situation when you paid €9.4m for a kid who it seems many teams want and would pay a lot more for. If we didn't accept the clause we would most likely end up with a less talented player from Boca as part of the deal and be left with little value from that Tevez deal.

We get a bit wrapped up in fees and transfers but what players do on the field adds most value to a team. Anyway, the kid hasn't signed or played a minute yet, we'd be fortunate to be in a situation where we are worrying about the above. If he doesn't turn into a Pogba-level player then he's easily replaceable anyway.

And IIRC we did have the chance to take him when the Carlitos swap but we rather took valhala or vadalala or whatever

I don't think we were in a position to take any of their prized assets at the time, especially since they were in first team roster, Vadala we probably got because he was most expendable and up for youth football.

I think he didn't up his expectations. @Mark knows better
I was disappointing in Vadala. Looked lost with our Primavera. Not even close to the guy we saw on Youtube. :p I hope he'll turn it around.

Would have been nice to get Pavon in the deal.

Former is doable, Willian defenitely not. I rather we get Coutinho, this dude will go ham in his next move to a bigger club.

I'm guessing going to Barca rather then us.

I heard Conte doesn't like Willian. But neither do I, so I'm fine with not getting him

Willian had a death in the family and Conte allowed him to leave for a few weeks. By the time he was back, Pedro was on fire and has taken his spot. Same thing happened to Terry with the injury.

Willian is not going anywhere. He will rotate with pedro.

Hmm, nope, we did get raped in this deal if the 50% is true. I mean, 9.4M is definitely nothing near the guy's worth right now, and to give Boca a further 50% of any sale, + Tevez for free??

But it's not really relevant, as the most important thing is if this kid is really that talented and ready for professional football. Something we have yet to see.
