Yeah I forgot he was in our Primavera for a short while too. It's nice he graduated to Serie A, hope him and Matheus Pereira become instrumental for Empoli.

I hope that was true, but fact of matter is Lirola is only one who been loaned to a Serie A team in a long while (Mattielo too couple years back). Otherwise they dumped and forgotten in lower levels. Used as trading pieces.


I hope Romagna becomes an exception to Serie B purgatory like Rugani was.

Pretty much Lirola is it right now from the current group that has emerged from the Primavera.

Leali managed a couple serie A loans. That Andres Tello guy is loaned to Empoli this year. Mattiello was at Chievo last year... I don't know where this year. And I guess Vitale is at a Serie B club?

Hopefully the next group with guys like Kastanos and Kean make some noise.

We have a ton of things to do to make your academy be of use to our senior team. I hope we grow our youth academy production to the level Real Madrid has.

Morata, Marco Asensio, Vazquez, Carvajal, Nacho, Casilla, all either very good choices for starting eleven, top talent or serviceable squad players (Mayoral will come back, expect Vallejo to replace Pepe in near future, and reggaeton lover boy Jese sold for 25m). That's very smart use of your academy really .


In super cup final game vs Sevilla, they had 8 players starting that counted as homegrown. Since both Brazilians Casemiro and Marcelo joined as teens and are valid (even Ramos might be valid I think).


While we can't submit full senior over 21 years old squad to CL because we only have Marchisio and a 3rd goalie.

it's close to a year he hasn't been playing. Some sites said he should be already training with us but not close to being called up for a game.

Have only seen him in our friendlies so can only comment on those performances.. He played well and was impressive for quite a young age.. He could be a good player in the future but wouldnt say he is going to be amazing.. He could become a rotation player at best...

Zaragoza for latter. I knew that, but after they become 21 they will count as homegrown for Real since they were both signed at 18 years of age. That's what I meant with comparing them to us only being able to register 2 when they can technically register nearly half their squad as such.

Won't be counted as one for CL though as we have a similar situation with Rugani. Not sure but if we keep Mandragora here he might count as one in the future.

yeah 4 goals in 3 games. One was a penalty. one goal in coppa as well.
