I don't understand this fascination with Darmian. He is above average at best. De Sciglio is more talented, but inconsistent. I wish we could consider hijacking United's Fabinho bid, or some other exciting player (doesn't necessarily have to be Italian, especially if he isn't good enough).
Above average is good :p

Oh what a shock, B81 championing the cause of a foreign player over an Italian one ::lol3::
Verratti? Fuck yeah!!! Insigne? Hell yeah!! Bernardeschi? Interesting indeed! What do all three have in common? They are all young and Italian, and I'd love them here. However, I am not in favor of above average individuals. Unfortunately, we can't get Verratti, and probably have no need for both Insigne and Bernardeschi.

We'll need better once Alves retires/leaves and Licht departs at the end of the season. Cuadrado is an amazing and versatile player. Lirola and Fabinho and we have the RB/RWB position on lock for a decade.

Verratti
Donnarumma
Romagnoli
Berardi
Belotti
De Sciglio

:donedeal:
Donnarumma - Yes if he is that good for his age and continue to improve he is definitely the heir. My First choice for now is probably impossible (Oblak)
Romagnoli - Sure good defender - needs to get the mystery of the Juve defence into him but Im sure he could adjust
Berardi - for a good price and given he is not going to whine at not being a usual starter...
Belotti - Good player but for now I dont see him developing into something we can use
De Sciglio - Would be a good sub

Oh so last big names were in 2001. Fine, let's even give the egde to Higuain transfer.

Keep naming players, we have one at the moment. Pjanic is amazing imo but I doubt world classifies him as a WC player.

But go on, you can use other teams as well. I might have forgotten about other transfers.
We signed 21 year old Dybala for 40M, a player in demand all over. World class within a couple of months of being here.

We signed Higuain for 90M. World class player. Top 5 in his position in the world.

We signed a CM in Pjanic for 32M. World class mid, only not regarded as such perhaps because of low opinion of Serie A.

We signed a LB in Alex Sandro for 26M. Last year of contract. Over interest from EPL clubs like Man City. On the cusp of being World Class.

That depends on how he would fare here. He was great at Torino, but at a shambolic United he had his struggles. If he comes here and steps his game up, why would we need a better one? Don't forget, he's still relatively young, has maybe 8+ years left in him, possibly didn't even peak yet. If our board picks out Darmian, I certainly trust them.

I agree with all being said but its really annoying that in the end we are just a jumping board to Barcelona and Real (mainly)

Vidal wanted "a step up in his career" - went to Bayern
Pogba had interest from Real and Barcelona and it was always just a matter of time until he`ll go there - went to Man Utd (not the most popular decision)
Dybala is being monitored by Barca and it is being said we have promised him to Barca..
Why do we need to "promise our players" - We are Juventus not a second rate club - We should be able to keep our stars!
Think of this scenario Vidal and Pogba remain and we have a mid of Vidal Pogba and Pjanic - Would you even have a doubt on which team have the best mid?!
Its really annoying as it feels Palermo are to Juve what Juve are to Barca and Real and this is not acceptable for me - I guess some of you feel the same way...

That makes no sense. Why would we promise them Dybala and apparently give them first option on Pogba. They are giving us no consideration in return, unless there is some unspoken promise to give us first option on Messi or something. Otherwise, why not sell him to the highest bidder?

dont think we may go back in for matuidi? seeing his very frank remarks abt wanting to leave PSG?
Nope. He'll most likely be cup tied. No reason targetting him in Winter.

Don't disagree with your overall point, but I think your are overestimating the individual players.

Dybala, Pjanic and Sandro all need to take the last step before qualifying for a 'world class'-stamp. Speaking of.. how fucken volatile is WC anyways? Are we speaking top 20, 15, 10 or 5 at once respective position?
