Tielemans doesnt play Marchisio's position either, he is a playmaking CM but he is a creative more mobile attacking kind, there's a reason that clip rakib posted of his season so far starts with lots of goals, or shots just outside the box. More of an Iniesta/Thiago type with rocket shot. Not a holding type like Marchisio, even if he is good deeplaying playmaker.


Gagliardini is most closest to a young Marchisio of that bunch (in role, NOT style), holding type while still being decent option for box 2 box.

Umm what? Dahoud is more of an all around young Marchisio then complete warrior like Vidal. He is good technically and decent passer, plays lots of 1-2s and is viable b2b (not a playmaker but sorta facilitator), Vidal is whole another animal, only Juve now or former he is closest to (due to technique is as said a younger Claudio (fyi just an excuse to post this magical clip again):

I don't really see Marchisio as being a holding mid either. What's great about Marchisio, and many midfielders we've had in the past, is that he's a mix between all useful characteristics a midfielder can have. I see that in Tielemans too. He's got a great pass, strong body, but is still quite dynamic. Honestly if I had to compare him with anyone right now it would probably be Verratti (who is quite a few levels better than him though).

Yeah Verratti makes sense since the kid has very natural vision and passing, similar styles except Tielemans can shoot/score lol.



And holding mid isnt Marchisio's original position as we know for those of us that seen him for nearly 12 years, but it has grown into his best position. But he is really too smooth and technical for that role, and doesnt have the physique for it either, but somehow makes it work well for him.

Man Verratti really needs to up his ante in goals, he offers no threat by himself, he is a midfield genius and easily one of the most daring and wonderful dribblers I EVER seen. But players in his position either develop decent long distance shot or even more common, freekick ability, and he cant do either.

i think he has a release clause of ~10m, so the club with the highest wage offer could take him fairly cheap next summer.

Dahoud wont cost 40m with his contract just running 1 more year. More like 25m or 30m max. I have a feeling Dortmund have wrapped him up already and if not them, then its prob going to be Klopp and Liverpool. I see Bayern as outsiders getting him, but hope I m wrong though.

sure, that's a concern, but last year he was stellar both defensively and in attack. he's only 20, i'd take a gamble on him.

U shouldnt rule out Dortmund IMO they r the huge favorites to sign him. I can smell it. I would compare him to Gündogan, but he has a lot of work to do on his defensive skills. There is of course still some risk involved, but under the right coach with the right playing style he ll blossom. Dortmund and Tuchel r perfect for him, as the chances to become starter for them r big..Gündogan successor and Dortmund need such a player. Well, all clubs besides Real need such player and there r not many on the market.

Caldara[Fab is in love with him] and Gagliardini would be for the summer. Total cost would be in the 55m range + Spinazzola.

so in January would could see Witsel and Kessie here.
